I don't know why they bother to block something once it's been leaked, it is leaked.  Anyway, so it.  I dunno, looks like it is basically Suicide Squad 2, but with brighter colors...and perhaps better comedy.  I like that DC is willing to just get outlandish and weird with some of their properties.

Since either no one saw the video in postable form, or just didn't post it...

Here you go

Looks like a lot of fun. I think this will do very well at the box office

What I can tell from the trailer.

1) Has the feel of the recent DC movies.  It embraces the characters and the weirdness of them, but also is just a little off from doing them right.  Like I know who the cast is, but I look at them and say Nope.

2) Highly stylized fight scenes, that are completely not grounded and silly.  However, the little action we get in this trailer looks like it could be fun.

3) The raid on the police station being completely none lethal is either going to make or break the movie.  If it is high energy and funny, which they seem to be trying to do...then I think it will be great.  If it comes across as cheap or just silly, then it is going to hurt.

Morbius Trailer

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9eQBl3_6FKA

It doesn't look bad, but I'm not hyped for it.
some of the video sites are saying that "Spider-Man is in it..." I need to watch again, but I didn't see a spiderman suit in the trailer.

IU must've missed it, but apparently there is a Spider-man poster at the end (the Raimi version) and Michael Keaton is at the end as well (I don't think he's the same character from Homecoming), but Sony is really trying to push even the smallest SM connections wherever they can.

That doesn't look terribly interesting to me.  I'll probably see it one day, but not in any hurry.  Presumably Jake Gyllenhaal will turn up at some point too.

I have to say Sony, might be on to something interesting.  Hero movies have a problem of almost always under developing their villains.  If you can write villain origin Stories that are interesting and spend the time to make a villain that people can care about but recognize they are evil...then it makes the genre better and stronger.

Yeah, there's a Raimi Spider-Man poster at about 2:04 with "Murderer" written over it, possibly referencing the end of Homecoming.

Apparently, history is set to repeat itself as Beast Wars is once again being dusted off to save the franchise after G1 screwed everything up.  :P

Yeah, Paramount is finally considering making a Beast Wars movie. They're apparently also considering making another movie in the spin-off universe that Bumblebee created.

Beast Wars is my favorite Transformers series, followed closely by Transformers Prime. That said, I really don't want the people that screwed up G1 Transformers (even more than it already was) in live action making a Beast Wars movie. But if they must do this, Garry Chalk and David Kaye must be involved, along with Scott McNeil if possible. YESsssss.

I should really watch my copy of Bumblebee.

The Transformers movie franchise is so, so bad. At this point, I won't even stream them in the background while working from home as white noise... there is simply better white noise available.

Beast Wars would have to be more than AMAZING to save the series.

Yeah, I will defend that 1st Michael Bay Transformers movie as perfectly enjoyable (if extremely flawed), but after that 1st one? Ugh...

Have heard good things about Bumblebee, though. Picked it up when it was on sale, but haven't watched it yet. It's currently up there with Pacific Rim Uprising on the list of movies I own that I should get to.

To be fair, I've also heard good things. But I'm so damaged from watching other Transformers movies in good faith that I can't bring myself to watch it.

Pacific Rim is an odd movie. I can't call it "good", but it's fun and ridiculous in all the right ways to recommend watching. In fact, I might re-watch if it's available on Netflix...

Pacific Rim is a big budget b-movie.  The plot is cheesy, possibly on purpose, but to the point where it's enjoyable for it.  The action scenes are great.  I loved that movie while accepting that it isn't a "good" movie.

For the record, I specifically named the Pacific Rim sequel, Uprising. I've seen the original Pacific Rim, and it's one of my favorite movies. Heard the sequel was awful, though.

Same - I missed Uprising (both that you were talking about it, and seeing the film).

Which is kind of weird, because I did really enjoy myself when watching the first one. I think it had benefited from a complete lack of expectations going in though - was that just my ignorance, or did a lot of people go into the original Pacific Rim without a clear understanding of what the movie would be like? When Uprising was released as a sequel, it probably had a lot of people excited about it beforehand and would've hard a harder time meeting expectations.

Aladdin sequel in the works
https://variety.com/2020/film/news/aladdin-sequel-1203502713/

theatrical release, not based on existing sequels
Quote
With new horizons to pursue, “Aladdin” is getting a sequel.

Following the massive success of last summer’s reboot, Disney is developing a follow-up to the film, tapping John Gatins and Andrea Berloff to pen the script.

Sources say the movie is in early development, but after spending the last six months figuring out what direction to take the next film, producers look to have found their path.

The film will be a theatrical release, not a Disney Plus title. The original animated movie had two straight-to-video sequels, but sources say this new take is completely original and not based on those ideas.

It’s unknown at this time whether director Guy Ritchie will return. Producers hope to bring back stars Will Smith, Mena Massoud and Naomi Scott, but offers won’t be extended to the cast until a script is ready.

I'm glad they're doing a sequel, especially after the male lead was reportedly having trouble getting work.  I'm interested to see what direction they go in, if not following the other films.  I didn't expect them to do the sequel, the full animated series, and then the second sequel, but I am hoping they try to cover some of the plot points.

They are also "rebooting" (it sounds like a sequel to me) Honey I Shrunk the Kids, and Rick Moranis is returning.

I don't have the link at this very second, but it's out there if you search it.

Basically oldest son, now all grown up, is trying to be a scientist like dad (Moranis).... makes same mistake and shrinks the kids.
