So in the new Nintendo Power Shiggy is qouted to saying "our competiters better get ready to rumble".  SUPAH RUMBLE PACKS!!!!!1

Seriously guys, figures of speech are used to get points across.  The idea of a big gun, means a large
advantage over the competitors, i.e. a larger "gun".  You're reading way to deep into it.

And helmets are lame...

We should just make a pizza cat thread.  Is the french DVD in French? Or english?  Does anyone know the quality of the bootleg, and furthermore, where to obtain it?  Am I even allowed to ask?  If only I had high speed internet, then I could just download them and make my own.

I miss pizza cats...

roflcopters to sony releasing Mario cartoons.

I vaugly remember both shows.  They were pretty good I guess, and sony releasing them is funny.

As a fellow pizza cats fan, I too have been patiently awaiting a DVD release.  I fear my friend that it will never come.  We should send whoever is responsible to prisoners island.  Even though that place is awesome.

When I heard about this game I thought DS.  I mean you kill enemys by drawing caligraphy, if that doesn't sound like DS I don't know what does.

What am I even looking at?

Poga:
So they scrapped the tilt sensor?  Thats kind of a bummer.  When the PSP was first announced I saw in a PSM all sorts of periphials using that port, going as far as a GPS system.  Sony was really proud of it's USB thing.  And the periphials that they were showing were designed in a way to be unobtruisive.  If anything the tilt sensor was scrapped due to time restraints.

Don'tHate:
That would be cool, in fact using the GBA slot as a hard-drive would be great.  Using it to store demos, or other things like that.

The whole added joystick thing seems like it would end up being akward.

Nemo I like your idea of a game focusing on an evil antagonist, but your analogys need some work.

My dream game would be a perfectly balanced beat-em up, with a character creation system so large every single person could look different.  It would have RPG elements much like River City Ransom, but would be a bit more complex.  There would be a special move creation system, that uses the 100's of preset moves in different combinations.  The stats would grow in a way similiar to a racing game, whereas you are either fast and weaker, or a giant tank of a man.  The graphics would be cel-shaded, with slight manga overtones.  The game would be overly violent, much like Kill Bill.

The game would have a massive single player game, that allows for co-op.  The single player game would have HARD puzzles, great platforming sections, and intense boss fights.  There would also be an online game with a turf wars style set up.  It would use the city from the single player game and have a turf war system.  You could join different gangs, and try to hold the most turf.  Or act as a free agent, and help other gangs for money.  Or you could be a lone rider, and simply kill all in your path.

The story line of the game would involve demons and the yakuza.  It would be cheesy, and the dialouge would be similiar to old kung-fu moviesand old gangster films.  The soundtrack would be jazz.  No Rock, no orchestration.  I mean a sound track of nothing but hard swing, bop, funk, and afro-cuban jazz.  This would lend itself very well to the style of the game.

Also no guns, its all hardcore hand to hand combat.  Or sticks, rocks, or whatever else you find lying around.

I might be able to get some character sketches up if this thread isnt dead by the time my arm heals.

I was correcting poga.  I know that the whole USB thing would be obtrusive, but the PSP can do it.  The gba carts might be cheaper as well, I'm not sure.

Although there really could be some cool periphials for the DS.  The rumblecart, maybe a camera, and tilt sensors are always fun.  Although, I don't know how nessacary these devices could be, they never really appealed to me.  Unless the can get some bongos to come outta that GBA slot I won't pay much attention.
A lot of the periphials could be mimiced with the touchscreen.  And periphials always come of as gimmicky.

All and all never been a big fan of them is all.

Spak-Spang, I think you're misusing penultimate.  Unless you mean he's creating his second to last game machin.  Penultimate is the precursor to the finale.

Actually the PSP has a USB port for the same purpose IIRC.  I remember reading about a tilt sensor for mercury.

Yeah, in Kirby Super Star he was one of the end bosses.  It was the fast paced time trials known as Revenge of Meta Knight.  That was probaby my favorite game in superstar plot wise.  Meta Knight's character was really developed.

Ian's right.  Why not match the competition.  The output can't be that expensive to add or buy.  Even though I don't have an HD-TV, I still want to say my Rev can do everything your box or PS can.

Although, even if they don't, oh well.  How many sales can they lose?

And strell, calm down man.

Darth's daily tragedies

I-mockery goes behind the scences and joins Darth Vader in an average day.  It seems screaming "NOOOOOO!!!!" is completly natural.

River City High

Really like the way it turned out, even the ,uh sub par, construction that I did.  I'm going to wait till my arm heals to print out a starboy poster I found, and then make it poster sized and frame it.

On a sidenote, never break an arm, and if you have to, go with the non-dominant one.  Now you know and knowing is half the battle

Even better.  But if it goes so fast you cant think isnt that like going at a normal speed and zoning out?

Gah, Meteos seems to defy everything previously set down by videogames.

I prefer a game being so intense that you become very very acutly aware of every action you make, and are forced to caculate manuveurs and moves in seconds.  That zoning oyt thing is fun, but I'd rather be very aware of my actions.  Meteos sounds like an "acute awerness" game, rather than the "zoning out" type, which is perfect for me.  Cannot wait.

The fist man, you don't know?

But aside from that, this game seems really cool.  I love things that I can just play around with, it sounds like the mario paint of music.  I won't import though, so I'll just wait.

Maybe Leia has a really good memory because of her force influence?  Or maybe Leia has a bad memory, and is combining photos with her actual childbirth and making her own memories ofher mother.

Theres this design concept called transperent depth.  In which a game is simple enough for anyone to play it, but allows more experienced players to experience the game on a different level.  Smash Bros. uses this, Mario Tennis uses this, GTA uses this, River City Ransom uses this, and a lot more use it.  Epic games are harder to design with this concept, but its possible, as GTA does it very well.

I really think that this is what Nintendo is doing, Yoshi's Touch and go's diffulcty changes depending on how well you do.  The simplicity and elagancy in many upcoming DS games further supports it.

That or they will just do both....
