Title: Tingle RPG Details Emerge

If this isn't the single most demented game to ever come out of Nintendo, I will be very upset.

Tingle is a very polarizing character. There are very few people that don't completely love or hate the... interesting Zelda character. Anyway, the latest issue of Famitsu has finally revealed some of the details behind the Tingle RPG, entitled " Mogitate Tingle no Barairo Rupee Land" which translates to "Freshly-picked Tingle’s Pink-coloured Rupee Land." If the title and Famitsu article are anything to go on, this game is going to be quite interesting.    


Be sure to check 4 color rebellion for images from the Famitsu article.    


You can rest assured that PGC will keep you updated on this, what just might be the most fantastic game ever created by anyone on any planet.

I guess I must be one of the few, the proud, the Tingle apathists.  I don't hate him, but I wouldn't care if he disappeared, either.  This game could very well make me a Tingle ...enthusiast if it's quirky, fun, and localized.  I suppose now we'll at least find out why he thinks he's a fairy.

Wow, I never thought I'd really want a game where you play a middle-aged fairy of questionable intentions who follows a sensei who's... who's a giant rupee, but... well, here I am.

And Bill, they said that about Ouendan, and yet hey, we've got Elite Beat Agents. There is still HOPE!

Is that translation correct? The "Happy" seems to have gone AWOL.

I don't mind Tingle but I wonder why they've made him a stock character for the series, it just doesn't make sense.

The most appropriate thing I've ever seen regarding Tingle was Homsar in a Tingle costume.

This has potential to be the best game of all time. Of course it'll be localised, Nintendo doesn't listen to Matt IGN.

I doubt this will be the best game of all-time, but I would buy it...probably on launch day.  *Hopes for localization*.

As I said before, any game where you can control Tingle will be the greatest game ever made.

'Cuz you can kill him repeatedly.

How awesome is that?

I bet this game ends up kicking ass, too.

Hey those shots show what Tingle looks like outside of his suit!

I thought Tingle was kinda funny as a supporting character in Majora's Mask.  That game has tons of weirdos living in Terminia and as a one shot guy he's fine.  I don't like him much at all though as a significant character.  He's got a sort of Scrabby Doo vibe of being this new character that no one likes yet gets shoved down our throats regardless.  It doesn't help that his whole existence in Wind Waker is entirely for an annoying fetch quest to add play time to a rushed game.

I can't believe this game is still around.  I had feared it was cancelled.  I pray for a localization.

Think there's any chance Nintendo would let Atlus publish it in America if it chooses not to itself?

It's a Zelda spinoff, I don't think Nintendo will make it Japan-only.

Who published Cubivore?  It might have been Atlus, definitely not Nintendo anyway.
It might also be a smart idea to publish Mother 3 in North America.

Hahahahaha YES!  I pretty much agree with the last sentence there, about best game ever of ever.  It's kind of sad how much my heart leapt when I saw this.  Not cancelled!  Most anticipated DS game?  Quite seriously, it could be.

Screens look awesome, I like the art style.
(By the way, totally will be localized, or someone's gonna pay)

No it wasn't.  It seems somebody got confused by the stylized kana.  The correct word is "Rupee."

I fully expect to enjoy this at least twice as much as Twilight Princess.

A whacky Zelda spin-off RPG in the same vein as Mario and Luigi? I'll eat my hat if it doesn't get localized.

I don't think the problem was that he was too significant in Wind Waker, he was just given the wrong role. It's like what it would be like if, in Futurama, they made Dr. Zoidberg in charge of deliveries instead of professor. Maybe funny for the first 2 minutes, but you'd quickly grow to hate the character. Same thing with Tingle. The guy should just NEVER, EVER be in a position of power.

It looks halarious. It's so stupid looking that its got to be great. What if Nintendo is really trying to make the most halarious looking, dumb-but-funny game in all existence? It's been a while since a game made me almost die from laughing.

Hmm, too bad it's not similar to Dragon's Lair.  So I could entertain myself watching him die many different ways as you play the game.

I think it would come out here, sadly with the last 2 zelda's
Westerners have missed out on items in the zelda games
Wind waker -1 sail quest, 4 swords adventure -1 mini game
If japanese maon about this game at release, nintendo should say stuff u and release it in the west anyway

Looks interesting at worst.  I kinda liked tingle, but often just forgot to use him.
