From this point forward, Kuju London will be known as Headstrong Games.

Today, one of the seven development studios under Kuju Entertainment has rebranded themselves as Headstrong Games. Kuju London, developers of Nintendo's Battalion Wars series, will be known as Headstrong Games from now on.

In the announcement of their new name, Headstrong revealed that they are working on a soon-to-be-announced title with Sega as well as a number of other projects.

Kuju London renamed Headstrong

Headstrong launched today as the rebranded London studio of the Kuju Entertainment network. The central London developer has already enjoyed huge success with Nintendo's Battalion Wars™ and Battalion Wars™ 2 and continues to focus on what it does best; great Character Action titles. Headstrong offers publishers a specialist service on the Wii™ and occupies an exclusive position in the market due to a wealth of experience gained by working on Nintendo titles.

Studio Head, Bradley Crooks, commented, "We have the ideal opportunity to build on a solid foundation at Headstrong and we have some great projects in development. The studio has a real advantage on the Wii due to our experience with both single-player and multi-player development and we can get projects up and running quickly with our mature technology and tools".

The studio is expecting a busy schedule over the coming months with discussions on a number of projects. Headstrong has a flexible approach to new opportunities and is happy to work with publishers on licensed products, existing IP or to develop new ideas.     Ian Baverstock, CEO for Kuju Entertainment, said, "Headstrong is the final 'piece in the puzzle' for Kuju’s offering in the UK. As action specialists they complement the other studios that have already rebranded and together offer publishers a full service solution to their development needs."     Headstrong is located in the Bankside area of London, near the Tate Modern, and is working on a soon to be announced title with SEGA® and a number of other projects.

I would just like to note that Kuju also assisted Bizarre with development of Geometry Wars Galaxies, which means they are officially awesome even though I don't care about Battalion Wars.

You should, that game is a pretty traditional fun tactics war game.  Of good quality too.

Freakin' sweet game, Kuju is a better name though. ;)

MOAR BATTALION WARS.

Why do I get the feeling this will end with a "Sonic Wars" FPS...

PS: Speaking of Battalion Wars, is NWR ever going to review Battalion Wars 2???

I don't have any problem with war games that are based on fictional wars.  (Case in point: I am planning to buy Call of Duty 4 soon.)  I don't necessarily have a problem with real war-based games either, depending on how they are handled.

"Kuju" is a pretty dumb name.  It sounds childish and difficult to take seriously.

Headstrong is not an exceptionally creative name but it sounds neutral enough that it works.

I had no idea that Kuju was some big company with multiple development studios.  I had never heard of them before Battalion Wars and just assumed they were some nobody developer Nintendo assigned an attempted Advance Wars spinoff to.

What's the big deal?  It is a stupid sounding name.  "Headstrong" is better.  If given the option of two companies that I had to pick immediately based on name alone Headstrong would get it way before Kuji London.

I agree with Ian, "Kuju" is a crappy name.  It sounds like the name of a jungle tribe or something.  "The Kuju tribe is known for their cannibalistic ways..."

It certainly doesn't say anything about their company, which seems to be all the rage in corporate branding these days.  Heck, even "Nintendo" has a meaning.

Kuju I thought had a cool logo and not a bad name. I'm laughing at Ian for calling it a kiddie name.

Headstrong is nothing but a generic dumb name.

Every time I hear the name Kuju, it reminds me of Cujo the evil dog from Stephen Kings book.  So when there's talk of Kuju Entertainment doing a game, I think of a team of evil dogs making games.

Of course changing the name to Headstrong doesn't do much because Cojo was headstrong as well with strong jaws that could rip people apart.  So now when I hear Headstrong Games is doing somethings, I think of a team of evil dogs running through downtown London ripping people apart.

Sounds like a good idea for a game, perhaps you should let them know.

Always is a good idea to re-brand your company to face the new challenge.
From re-brand your company name or logo or slogan, it's help to give your company a new look. Creative and Innovative. It's time to change.........:)
