Hey guys there is a Zora missing somewhere I was told she may have been at the Zora River or all the way down to Lake Hylia. I have been just about everywhere and can not find this woman. Any tips?

She is SE of the shrine in the lake just off the rock formation.

I keep saving a space for a hammer and a Korok leaf, with the leaf being randomly useful and the only flammable item I keep.

You can always get new Korok leaves by bombing trees.

60hrs in and I feel like beating this game is not even important anymore. Just living in this world and experiencing all it has to offer if far more satisfying than trying to complete the main quest.  Pilgrimages to the far corners of the world, cooking and finding neat places to camp is just so much fun, which is still really weird to say in a Zelda game.

Still on 3 hearts and still on OG stamina bar. Might not ever upgrade till I absolutely have to.

By the by, looking at the activity log of some of you guys is quite impressive to say the least. 100plus hours in a single player game is insane, especially when the game is still only under 3 weeks old.

I keep getting lost in the jungle. The trees are so thick and the humidity puts a haze into the air. I know there's a shrine in here somewhere!

I keep getting a Minecraft survival mode feel from this game. Just add some way to build your own structures, dig/tunnel/mine, plant trees, and greater water manipulation and we could have something amazing and unlimited.

I've never spent this much time in a game.  I usually tire out around the 40-50 hour mark.  Every night my entire family (wife and kids) begs me to play for at least an hour (often it ends up being more).  This has been our routine since launch day.

Yesterday I played for 2 hours or so and I realized afterwards that I really didn't do anything.  I did a sidequest that earned me 60 rupees (it was an early one that I put off for a while) found some Koroks and explored a few areas but didn't complete any shrines.  I think I started with the intention of finding some shrines but nothing really happened.  Yet I still had fun!  The game really allows for you to just mess around and explore.

Yeah, I fall into this trap too. I may set out with a few goals like going to a shrine I discovered but didn't get to yet or a sidequest I want to complete or an area I want to search about. However, after trekking out, I get distracted by new stuff or things I just discover and then want to mess about with. Last night, I booted up the game starting up where I left off in the Akkala region. My goal was to get the blue flame to Robbie's Tech Lab and get access to Ancient gear. I began by attacking all the moblins and bokoblins surrounding the countryside and path to the warehouse. Again, I really love my Sheikah outfit especially since I've upgraded it a few times. It just allows me to sneak up behind all manner of enemies and take the down with a sneakstrike in one hit. I am a ninja in this game. It also allows me to come up on animals and grab them before they have a chance to scurry off. Hightail lizards, insects and even fish. At one point, I was swimming across a lake and alternating hitting X and A to swim across and instantly grab a fish of some sort before it swam away. Just piling up my inventory.

After clearing a path from the enemies, I then began on getting the blue flame from the ancient furnace to the end goal. However, around the area there were a lot of unlit lanterns much like Hateno village. In Hateno village, I had searched all around and was pretty sure I'd found all the unlit lanterns and lighted them with the blue flame. I thought maybe lighting them all would trigger something like a classic Zelda puzzle but nothing happened and I was sure I hadn't missed anything. Seeing more of these lanterns, I wondered if they were connected so I went about carefully searching the countryside and making sure to light all the lanterns in this area. But still nothing happened. Maybe there's more lanterns to discover yet or maybe there is no real point to them but they continually stay light creating a neat effect at night time.

Of course, all this searching led me to ore deposits to smash and collect and some more Korok seeds and ruins to explore. After feeling I finally covered the area thoroughly and did all I could, I went to my original purpose for the whole endeavor. However, the price of gear and equipment was too much than I wanted to spend right now. I'm currently saving up 10,000 rupees for a purchase you can probably figure out if you've encountered it.

At this point, it was getting late and I felt I should try and make some progress so then it became a quick scramble to focus and go to a couple shrines and solve those and then rush to another couple areas where I wanted to collect some items and meet some people and then finally call it a night. It's always a mad scramble at the end of my play sessions to finish up something, take care of a couple things I also wanted and meant to do and prepare for the next play session all because I got distracted and focused on something else like lighting lanterns. I think Hyrule is doomed. I'm going to be unprepared for the coming second attack of Ganon because my Link was too busy messing about in some bushes for beetles instead of buffing up.

I like wearing the Sheikah gear too.  I was able to rack up a lot of fish by swimming in the river leading up to Zora's Domain, but you might not need the gear for that.  It really has a huge impact on collecting critters and hunting.  I always switch clothes when I want to try an mount a deer (horses too, I guess).  At first I thought the boost would only be moderate, but even if I'm just wearing the pants, it's like night and day.

You guys have convinced me.  Tonight I'm buying the Sheikah gear. At the time I got to that shop I was so early in the game that the price sounded astronomical but I think I could sell some ore and afford it pretty easily now.

Yeah, the price is really intimidating.  Especially since it's like the first outfit you can buy.  I remember buying the gear one piece at a time.

Yeah, the first time I saw it, it seemed like it was going to be forever before I'd be able to afford the clothes but then a few days later I found a treasure trove area of chests with rupees and lots of ore and cashed in being able to buy a bunch of stuff including the Sheikah outfit. (Great thing about this treasure area is that the Blood Moon replenishes the ore. I'm hoping to find a few more easy spots like it to help rack up rupees.) It's been my favorite outfit by far. Thanks to upgrades, I can practically walk up to animals and enemies now and don't even have to crouch or move slow although sometimes I still do just to ensure complete success. If I didn't have to switch to climbing gear for speedier scaling or special clothes for different climates, I'd have the Sheikah gear on all the time. It's so nice to be able to move around and not have wolves howl at you right away and want to try and attack you. (Or bears either.) Only caveat is that it doesn't seem to have much effect on keeping Guardians from spotting you and Lynels still seem able to spot you from a distance.

The daunting 10000 rupee gear is actually my favorite in the game. If I hadn't gotten another set of gear for doing something very special, I likely would have fought the final boss with it on.

Actually, I was referring to unlocking the last Great Fairy for 10,000 Rupees but thank you for spoiling the news of 10,000 rupee gear. ;) (I'm actually ok with this new knowledge. Warns me that I need to keep saving up. I just find it funny how I didn't know there was something else worth 10000 Rupees in the game and you thought it was this item I was referring to.)

So after some practice I've finally becomes a master at Parrying Guardians lasers back at them.  I just killed 3 in a row with their own laser, with 2 of them the walking kind that took 3 reflected lasers to kill.  My Link is basically a DBZ character now, just backhanding lasers left and right.

It's actually not that hard to do once you memorize the timing.  Basically as soon as the Guardian's eye makes that blue flash, hit A right away and you'll Parry the laser.  It doesn't matter how close or far, it seems after the blue flash the laser will travel anywhere you are after that no matter the difference so if you hit A right after seeing the flash, you'll always reflect it.

So yeah, now I don't even need to use any weapons to beat the Guardians since I'm killing them with their own attack. ;D

Oh, I actually thought you were slightly exaggerating a certain price. I know of both of the things you speak of, and while I would say there is 10000 Rupee gear if you want to wield all the advanced Guardian armor and weaponry, the other money sink you mentioned is just as lofty and rewarding a goal.

Something I enjoy immensely about the game is that it does have this feeling of trivializing just about every kind of encounter you can have in it, even though everything is extremely daunting at the start. It may feel like there's nothing that can stand toe-to-toe with you by the end of your experience, but contrasted with the opening of the game, where things can kill you easily, it's a very empowering feeling. It's how the game chooses to mix up encounters that makes it really interesting, however. I have long debated, before finally deciding to return to, the basement of the seaside Labyrinth, which is littered with Guardians and Stalkers. That is going to be one hell of a fun fight.

I like how the stealth set is available early on, because it really is one of the most useful ones in the game that I've found. It not only helps with collecting materials like lizards and junk, but it can also help avoid or sneak up on enemies before you get stronger. Definitely a good choice to put that set in the first village.

Still on 3 hearts and still on OG stamina bar. Might not ever upgrade till I absolutely have to.

Ha ha, yeah, our Links are practically lazy compared to some. The real heroes are Evan_B and ClexYoshi.

all I'll have left to do in the game is find Korok Seeds, and I'm... strangely okay with that. I'm actually excited to comb the world for tiny little mini puzzles and appreciate it from just about every angle.
Will you use a guide at any point? I almost feel it's impossible to find them all without one, as unless I'm missing something there's no indication where they could be hiding. Using the Sheikah Sensor on Koroks would have been the most useful use for it...

I'll turn to a guide if I've gone through all of Hyrule and at journey's end am still missing some to finish it off. But I am curious to see how well I do without the guide for now. It's still going to be a challenge to compare maps from my game to whatever people may post online showing them all since there are 900 but guess we'll see how that goes. My first reaction to your Sheikah sensor was to laugh since the thing would be beeping constantly but I suppose after you start to find a bunch in an area then it would begin to work better and more efficiently. Personally, I don't always find the Sheikah sensor a big help. When it goes off, I'm constantly trying to adjust and find the direction to give me a higher positive reader and usually I end up stumbling upon the shrine more by accident as I keep scanning around an area then by any clear indication from the sensor.

Hee hee, yeah, I wouldn't use a hypothetical Korok sensor from the beginning. It would be for the end when most are found and the remaining few would be tough to track down since you have the entirety of Hyrule to check and no idea which sections still have the little buggers. The sensor doesn't need to be exact, just knowing the general area is fine and then the rest still needs to be figured out.

Thanks for the lost Zora tip! I was over there too but never noticed her! She was just walking on land while I was combing every inch of that blasted lake! At least I found a bunch of Korok's while I was at it.

Ian cook up some dishes and sell those! Thats where the money is at! That way you don't have to worry about selling special gems and such that may have some upgradable importance later. Mixing craps, fish and snails can create sea food dished worth up to 200 smackers. I feel like those are easier to go after than ore.

I'm over 60 hours in, 1 Elephant temple completed, 91/900 Korok Seeds and maybe a little over 40 Shrines. I am not bored in the slightest and am just enjoying the adventure! Sometimes I feel like I'm doing things that I like to do in real life. When I go on a hike I like to see what creatures live in the area. I love to seeing a mass of giant rocks or mountains and trying to climb over to see whats on the other side. When ever I find a body of water I have to inspect it to see what types of animals are there! Doing these things in Zelda, even when I only find grass hoppers, snails or frogs is extremely satisfying to me! You ever take a long road trip and maybe you drive through some highway that cuts through some mountains or hills, you look over the horizon, the sun beams shine over the edge and you wonder what the heck is behind that mountain? I do, I do all the time and this game lets me live my fantasies.

I was thinking "is that supposed to be carp?  What's the difference between a carp and a fish in this game?"

I have obtained the ninja suit and, yeah, it's great to just effortlessly catch bugs.  One thing I notice when I explore an area with easier enemies is that at first I'll own their ass with my fancy weapons from a harder area but those will eventually break and I'll end up with the weak weapons those weak enemies offer.  I feel like I need to go get some more good weapons before I have nothing left for the harder areas.  With the Sheikah suit I just teleport to a shrine that I know has some tougher enemies around, sneak up behind them and get some easy kills for better weapons.  I should have done this weeks ago!

I spent some time practicing this last night.  It takes some getting used to!  I lost a few shields and had to restock my fairies, but I started to get the hang of it.  I started by going back to the Great Plateau because I knew there'd be stationary guardians there.  (Which, btw, felt like it had been an eternity since I'd been there.)  I then went towards the castle to find more.  I noticed it's a little harder from a distance, and if you mess up once, you gotta be careful before you're on the ropes.

After I collected all that loot, I went to the Akkala lab to cash out.  I think I might go a few more rounds and come back for more.  Might start cooking and selling seafood dishes for the revenue as Caterkiller suggested.

I spent a few hours looking for towns I haven't discovered yet (especially since I heard one has a house you can buy and store things in).  Found one on the southern coast, but it doesn't seem to have much to it.  Then proceeded to pin point areas where the roads end, suspecting there are towns there, found a few temples, a Colosseum with a bunch of high level enemies I don't think i'm prepared for, and then an area with a ridiculous amount of guardians, which was nice to get the materials from them, but took a few of my weapons in breakage.

I also ran across what I thought was a great fairy, but instead was a great horse fairy?!?!.  Offered to resurrect any horse I had a bond with for a fee, unfortunately I have barely spent any time with horses, so I spent 1,000 Rupees for nothing at this time, oh well..

Question about the great fairies - I've got some armor that shows question marks for the material needed.  Does this mean I haven't run across the item needed yet?  or is it that I need to find more great fairies before they'll reveal what items I need? .

Finally, Are there any items that are valuable and you never have to worry about using?  I've been more or less hoarding pretty much everything except an occasional meal here or there because of not wanting to sell off anything I'll end up needing to farm down the road.  That said, I've been consistently hovering at no more than 500 or so rupees because of arrows and other expenses I won't delve into that come along.
