I actually picked up Baroque on Wii and Operation Darkness on 360 which are two awesome games that everyone overlooked because of how everyone slaughtered them in reviews.

I started playing this game again recently on a trip, and got re-hooked. Never had beaten it before, but now that's taken care of. Currently going through all the trial maps and having a great time of it. Man, there's a lot of awesome content packed on that tiny card.

My only complaint is that most of the battles are really long, and they're hard to quit out in the middle and come back in later efficiently. It's especially true in fog of war maps (you've inevitably forgotten the location of that sub that just sank your battleship, that there's a giant scripted event that drops bombs in the middle of the battlefield, or some other random thing that will simply PWN you until you just give up and restart the mission from scratch).

Maybe you're just showing up late? Even if I do a search and go straight to the product page, I see the adjusted price. I guess you could try going to the video game department and clicking on the deal of the day link there to make sure.

Now lightning deals are another story. If I remember right, if you go to a product page when it just happens to be a lightning deal, the regular price is displayed, but there's a link that says there's a special deal in the gold box, but I might be wrong. I might even be mixing that up with the stuff chosen for your quick picks (which aren't usually worth bothering with; they are always 5% off the Amazon price regardless of what the gold box page says).

Amazon's having a 3 for 2 sale on some DS games, but good luck finding three games you don't already own. Also, DS Lites are $10 off today, but that's even less amazing. However, if you know someone who'd like a DS and some games for Christmas, today presents a good opportunity.
