I know it's been the rumor, and the villain I've been wanting the most since the Raimi series, but this was the first it's been confirmed, so I thought I'd "spoiler" it for those that wanted to guess before being told... or just skip over it till it's confirmed in numerous other ways they can't avoid.

I also don't own too many spider-man comics, but I'm mostly familiar with him from the various incarnations in cartoon format from my childhood. Knowing his gimmick, and seeing how far special effects have come, it is time to make this happen.

what's left to guess is, who is going to be the MCU cameo character this time around?

Shuri? (Wakandan Outreach center in NY and/or Europe, and their about the same age... character wise)
Doctor Strange? (help with the "magical" villain, yes we know he not magical, but it might not appear that way to them at first)
Scarlet Witch? (because E. Olsen said that's what she wants...)

If this is true the timing is most impeccable since there are yet more stories of a Justice League Snyder floating around again. Why anyone would want that does puzzle me somewhat based on his efforts with its predecessor but whatever.

The title for Avengers 4 is very clearly going to be Avengers Assemble, aka the hokey motto that they have never actually used in-universe.

I'm not so sure.

The main reason they've withheld the title was because it was a spoiler for Infinity War. Assemble isn't really a spoiler, whereas Avenge Us would definitely be. We shall have to see

Avengers Assemble was the name of the 1st Avengers movie in certain markets.

I fully expect the teased "Avengers Assemble!" moment to happen in this movie.

It'll be when Tony and Steve reconcile at the start of act 3, everyone will be there. Steve (or Tony or both) will call it out right before the final battle. Possibly after a motivating speech. And I do hope the final battle will have elements from the big battle in Age of Ultron.

I just adore that scene. The epic music kicks in, everything slows down so you can just see heroes being awesome. I do hope there's something similar in Avengers 4.

and it's a prequel. Takes place before IM2 supposedly.
I don't know what the Director has made... so not sure if I've ever watched anything by her before.

I could see Marvel Studios funding this and airing it strait to the Vault. The Vault will be looking for more New Exclusive Content to gain Day 1 subscribers.
Moving over AoS, Agent Carter, maybe a few more Marvel Series, such as New Warriors, would all be another very good reason for Marvel fans to sign up on day 1.
Hopefully they also bring back the One Shots for the Vault as well.

p.s. The Vault is my nickname for the future Disney streaming service, not it's actual official name.

The Disney Vault would actually be a pretty solid name, and a cute callback to all the old VHS releases. "Buy it now before it goes back in the vault" or w/e they would say after every re-release.

I'm on board. I wonder if we'll see an Iron Fist costume this season. I don't really think there will be. Seems to be a bit of a weird one to bring to live action. But they might make a few changes to it like Daredevil's duds.

I've pretty much given up on the Marvel Netflix shows. There's been a steady drop in quality since Daredevil season 1, and no crossover with the Marvel movies.

The Best of Marvel Netflix IMO (order of release):
DareDevil S1 (except that last fight)
Purple Man portions of JJ
Luke Cage S1 ep 1-7 (till the end of Cottonmouth... RIP)
DareDevil S2 - The Punisher portions
The Punisher S1

So it's not all bad.... but it certainly could have been better.
Decline in quality is real though, and you know I love me some Live Action Marvel, but if it ain't good.... it ain't good.

Season 2's will get a watch, but if I'm not brought back on board, I'm gonna need compelling reasons through word of mouth to watch Season 3's outside of boredom binging.

I’m a little confused here. James Gunn’s old tweets are problematic for a family-friendly company like Disney. At the same time, the tweets have been around forever. Did Disney somehow not know? Are they buckling under pressure because the tweets are in the spotlight now? Gunn has a web series called PG Porn in which he cast actual porn actors. If Disney was so concerned about the kind of humor he puts out there, I don’t really understand why it hired him in the first place.

As for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, I’d see what Taika Waititi is doing.
