Wish I'd seen that. If I had a nickel everytime I could have used a bulldozer to get me out of a jam and there wasn't one available, I'd own a bulldozer by now. Never around when you need one.

Woah. That could get me out of 14 jams. Just need 9 more and I'll finally be able to sleep easy. Sign me up! (I'll want to pay by check and please don't cash it in until after the post-marked date.)

If we got rid of people complaining about games they haven't played we might as well shut down the whole forums.

"I don't care about this game and haven't played it but I just can't resist shitposting about it for literally no reason."

You know, you could flip that sentiment on it's head and be just as cynical.

"I care deeply about this game that I haven't played but I can't resist praising how awesome it looks"

I actually don't have a problem with people praising or defaming games to their hearts content, as long as they're willing to discuss it and offer up some debate. People being negative or positive isn't the problem, it's those who take other people's opinions as a personal affront that cause most of vitriolic threads.
Gouge away.

Sheesh, it's amazing how put-off you were by one simple post.   :-\   I believe I articulated reasons for posting in that thread, as well as why I thought the way I did.  Believe it or not, but not everyone thinks Hideo Kojima is a God and that his bloated and self-indulgent works are Holy Gospel.  Meanwhile, much more accessible and appealing games to me like Valkyria Chronicles have not received trophies, which is unfortunate.

And before you go on "well, you didn't play MGS 4!", I played the demo back when I first got my PS3.  I didn't like it, and it didn't feel like it was made for me to enjoy.  I didn't like Twin Snakes on the GameCube, either.  Trophies have tempted me to play games I might otherwise not, but MGS 4 won't be one of them.  That's all.

Man, I don't care about MGS4 either, but I chose to keep scrolling instead of posting "**** METAL GEAR"

Internet gaming message boards (like the rest of the internet) apparently are SERIOUS BUSINESS.  You can't just post on something just to post on it.  No, definitely not.   ::)

I kind of think of it like XBL/PSN hatemail. When you pwn someone and make them mad, you're actually doing it right.

IN A RELATED STORY, TJ Spyke drops some character balance knowledge.

Actually, Marvel vs. Capcom 3 does have infinite combos and not hard to find. As for balance, apparently you do not know as much as you think you do. Capcom even had to patch the game a month after release to fix some balance issues (one of the changes was Sentinel having his health reduced by 31%). And just because you play in tournaments doesn't mean you know the game inside and out, many tournaments are open to anyone who wants to play.

Slips rarely happened,so they didn't bother me.  And the so-called character imbalances are so subtle that only a tiny fraction of  people will notice (and please explain how Metaknight is overpowered, my hundreds of hours spent on Brawl show to me that at best he is a so-so character). Even with these "problems", Brawl is still one of the best fighting games of the last 10 years.

MVC3 = unbalanced mess. Brawl = balanced! Hundreds of hours of Brawl played and he couldn't even figure out which characters were good. Or he's a flip-flopper that only likes to argue. TJ Spyke. Wrong on fighting games, wrong for America. This message was paid for by Vote Cat Drugs for president. I'm S-U-P-E-R and I approved this message.
