Primary skills include union avoidance, downsizing, and AD&D. Oh, and horrifyingly sexual imagery.

Guillaume starts the show this week with a bonanza of kart racing (Team Sonic Racing, Crash Team Racing, Sonic & All-Star Racing Transformed). Jon is finally going to beat Resident Evil 4. Greg has wrapped up Yooka-Laylee and The Impossible Lair.

Email this week casts other animals as THE GOOSE, talks about the remake of Famicom Detective Club, and compares maps. You can get lost in Alrest by sending us an email.

Guillaume is on the money about Crash games being absolute garbage.

I know some people enjoy the series, and personal enjoyment is very subjective so they aren't "wrong"... but the games play like mediocre iPhone games pushed out by amateur devs on a budget crunch. Granted, when the Crash games were released, 3D game design was new and consoles weren't nearly as powerful. Still, that's not enough justification to waste time on them when there were better games available.

That said, I'll give CTR (Crash Team Racing) a bit of slack. It's not great, and people who proclaim it the best racer ever must be looking through some nostalgia-tinted glasses.. but it's a perfectly acceptable Kart game for the time and better than many Mario Kart knock-offs.

Watching Giant Bomb (East) play through Resident Evil 4 was illuminating on how much time has aged that game. RE4's opening chapters are great and memorable, but the game just keep going and going through the castle and the island. At the time, it was great to have so much game to play. These days, quite a few sections look like filler.

I promised myself I wouldn’t do this as much as I’m catching up on episodes but hearing someone say “I’m struggling to find the fun value” in resident evil 4 hurts my soul so much. So much. This game imo is still a masterpiece. Love the Wii version still.

GUI dumping on crash was fun though.
