I don't beleive it's a rumor, since Game Informer Online has sources that
confirm that this deal will be coming from noa. here's a link
http://www.gameinformer.com/News/Story/200309/N03.0909.1706.31512.htm
Also PlanetGamecube has reported the samething, This leads to more
credentals that it's actually coming.
Please let there be an option to buy it seperately as well as packaged with
NGC.

sincerely,

Jason

Hi!

As you know, there are countless web sites on the Internet that post Nintendo news and information.  Many of these independent web sites take the liberty of posting news based on rumors, speculation, or assumptions--and that is just fine. We understand that Nintendo fans are eager for as much new information as possible!

However, as a publicly traded company in Japan, Nintendo has a responsibility to those who rely on us as a manufacturer (retailers, suppliers, employees, stockholders, etc.) to be the most accurate source of information on the latest Nintendo products.  Only when information is official can we comment on it.

Therefore, the information fans will see on our official web site will always be confirmed, reliable information from official Nintendo sources and press releases. Although officially confirmed information can still change from time to time (like product release dates), Nintendo's own web sites will be the most current official source for all Nintendo news and information.

On Nintendo.com, we also strive to provide as much information as possible on upcoming games and accessories that are made by other companies and licensed for use with our systems.   However, because these products are not produced or sold by Nintendo, we may not have all of the latest details. In these cases, we recommend that fans visit the web site for the actual company who produces the product in question, or contact them directly for the latest news.

Nintendo of America Inc.
R.M. Ricket

It seems Nintendo is denying it for now.

I hope they will let it be purchased seperately.

Nintendo is not denying it, this guy is saying that Nintendo cannot comment on anything that has not been officialy announced.

Hopefully it is true, it would mean that every Zelda game in existence(except the CD-I 3) is playable on the GC(with a little help of the Game Boy Player)!!

What you probably should have asked Nintendo is IF a second bonus disc is released would they please make sure to make it available to current Gamecube owners.  At least then you might get a "we value our loyal customers and hope to please them blah blah we'll take it into consideration yadda yadda" message.

One thing that is worth noting is that the Nintendo rep actually acknowledged the existance of the rumour.  Usually they give a "I don't know what you're talking about" bullsh!t message.  Just the fact that the guy commented directly on the rumour and seemingly knew what it was about suggests that it's probably legit.

This is the kind of thing that Nintendo should give away as part of their customer rewards program. Buy a gamecube get one free, buy a game and get some point to order one online. It will be easy enough to get from Best Buy or EB or Gamestop, since they will sell anything, but Nintendo needs to think about its current customers as well. Sure this will help sell cubes which is good for Nintendo, but what about the people that bought their stuff without any freebies?

The thing I'm wondering about is price...20, 30 dollars?  I would definitely pay 30 bucks for something of this quality.

Yeah I guess so, either way it's good that we'll have a good Zelda compliation.

I just hope they will have it for grabs for us who already own a GC.

Be intresting if anything will be upgraded, maybe SNES quality Zelda and Zelda II? and Improve Frame Rates for MM since at times it will go down to 15fps in the 64 incarnation.

Best Buy will most likely have it....

At my Best Buy the other day, they were selling the Rebel Strike bonus disk for $5, I decided, what the hell, I wont be able to get the game when it comes out, why not buy the bonus disc when I can?

So, I went up to checkout, and it came up as $0.01

To bad I couldnt go back and grab 99 more....

Best penny I ever spent, even better than the penny I spent on my Ocarina of Time player's guide, and the soundtrack for Crash Bandicoot 2 for GBA.

The five dollar price tag was to pre-order the game. (Boy that pre-order term is really stupid, I mean what's it mean? You order it before you order it?) It was a great deal though.

As for finding the Zelda bonus disk V.2 if it IS infact a pack in disk. Just do it ebay.

I'm actually starting to get pretty irritated with the new Zelda bonus disk. I'm extremely excited about it, yet there hasnt been any date or any concrete information. I know it's going to come on but when it's coming out is killing me!!

The solution is obvious:
- Buy the bundled Cube & Zelda Collection'
- Sell the brand-new Cube on ebay
