Title: How many people actually look at the reader reviews?
Post by: 1day on October 27, 2004, 12:54:01 PM
It doesn't look like anyone barely even glances at them to tell you the truth or am I wrong? *points to new review*

I remember there being a lot more posts in there... Maybe I'll write one sometime, after I get a new cube.

I've used it before, yeah.  Not used too often, but if a good game comes by someone will usually do a review, and a casual one is nice to read.  They delete older threads, I suppose, because there used to be a lot more, whereas now there are about five.

No, we don't delete anything (unless it breaks rules, or not ) Change your profile settings to let you view threads from a hojillion days instead of the stock 90 or what ever it happens to be.

Also, I check out reader reviews when things get posted there.

I check them out once in a while...the board just gets so few new threads I think people tend to forget about it.  I'd write more reader reviews, but I feel obligated to finish the games before I review them, and I just don't have the time to finish many games anymore!  I'll go check out that board right now, though.

Izzat so, DrZoidberg?  I learn new things about my options here almost every day.  It's like playing Wind Waker all over again!

Good review, by the way, but I've already bought the game.

I wouldn't mind seeing reader reviews of the Game Boy Advance SP. I own the original GBA, and I'd be interested in hearing the opinions of people who own the original and the SP. Or can people only write reviews of games?

"I own the original GBA, and I'd be interested in hearing the opinions of people who own the original and the SP."

That's easy. The SP is much, much better.

If you don't care about original GB games though, I'd recommend waiting for the DS.

Check out old GBA threads in the GBA section for GBA/SP comparisons.  At first I was adament about the SP and vowed to stick with the origina, but I gave in.  It was well worth it though =p

PaLaDiN: I don't want to buy the DS yet because 1. It's too expensive and 2. It won't play Gameboy or Gameboy Color games.

The SP comes with a rechargible battery? SOLD! Now I won't need to spend so much money on batteries!

Anyways, getting back on topic, I'll check out the reader reviews so I can get more than just PGC's opinion (Not that they're not good reviewers). When I'm going to invest $50 in something, I like to get as much info as possible.

You could have bought rechargeable batteries for your GBA, too.
