Hrrm. For some reason the game has turned into glitch city on me tonight.

I got stuck stightly below the sidewalk and was stuck for a bit.
Then the audio cutout when I was talking the Blonde girl.
Now I seem to be frozen up on the beach level.

EDIT: Protip, ejecting the disc and putting it back in solved the problem

At the end of the match walking around with the headless corpse was pretty creepy

Hmm...One question for those that have played the game. Remember the original teaser trailer with Travis killing that blue tone guy?

I think they flashed clips of Helter Skelter (the dude you're referring to) from the trailer in the intro whenTravis is narrating. It would've have been cool to fight him, but I guess they didn't lose any narrative steam by glossing over it. The whole point was that you moved to 10th by killing Helter Skelter. Also, being thrust right into the ranking helped to preserve the plot twists at the end.

They probably are saving it to re-release a second edition of the game on the Xbox.

Hey, I don't. Do you mean Jeane? Or Henry? Maybe even Dark Star? Was he really Travis' father or was he just messing? I wasn't entirely clear on that point. Dark Star could have always been Travis' real father while the man that raised Travis and Jeane then molested her could have always been their step-father?

Actually i meant Henry but a game about Jean would be nothing but HAWTNESS so i'm totally down for that. As for Dark Star i don't really care because all this is getting as confusing as the games ending.. and storyline in general.

or they could just base the prequel on Master Ryu. I mean didnt you wonder why he was trying to defeat that old fat woman (cant think of her name)? I know i did. I thought he was supposed to be a retired mafia member not a "ranked" assassin

I just started playing this game today, so obviously I'm behind the times, but I can finally agree with you all about how awesome this game is. In one sitting I managed to beat bosses 10 and 9 and I can't wait to get back into it and go after the rest.

And this establishes some really cool innovations, such as showing how lightsaber fighting should be done on the Wii, and that use of the controller as a cellphone is pretty cool. I don't know if any other games have done that, but I hope other developers are looking at this game and taking down notes because I'd like to see alot of these things put into other games.

BTW, how are the total sales figures for it? Can it be considered a smashing success? I seriously hope so, because that means we will probably have a sequel.

For a Suda51 game? It probably can be called his most successful game in recent history.

After February it was over 100k in the US, according to NPD, maybe it eeked up to 140k with residual sales. Japan I think has it around 35k. Europe supposedly got a lot of copies, but I'm not sure how many sold. The game probably sold more than 200k, but no higher than 300k worldwide? Pure guesstimation on my part.

200K+ worldwide is considered good, right?

I bought my copy in April after Amazon dropped the price. I'm sure that price drop has had to have propelled the game even higher... Plus you have the word of mouth factor.

It's a decent performance, nothing spectacular. But it's a probably the highest selling game that Grasshopper studios has ever had, and it's sure to have made them a good deal of money since they must run a really tight ship over there in order to turn out bombs like Killer 7 and still survive.

Seriously, Killer 7 came out at a time in which the GC was dying, and PS2 players gave a crap about it.

The Wi'si expanded audience (and I am talking about gamers who didn't give Nintendo games a try before) might have helped it reach a crowd it would have lost on the GC or even PS2 or XBOX era.

The game being much better than K7 might also have something to do with it...
