Also, my original plan on day 2 was to kill Stogi but he started cracking down on me and I figured if I survived I'd look suspicious if Stogi was killed off.

I literally killed Dasmos on day 1 just for the hell of it. I was largely responsible for the voting bandwagon to kill him off on Animal Kingdom and I figured it would be funny to kill him off again on day 1.

But Lucario said it was the Mafia that hit Dasmos. Another hosting error?

Also, to Lucario, I don't think a Safe Words game is the best way to hand out the prize. You already have to do the next Safe Words game, you probably don't want to be doing two at a time and your time zone is quite out of sync with the majority of users that this could take awhile. With 7 people left, you might not have this finished until 2 weeks from now. My advice would be this:

First, find out which players want to play for the prize. So, since this is going to the winning side which is the townies, then have a deadline, say 2 - 3 days from now or whatever's convenient for you, for those that want to play for the prize to register and sign-up to do so. That should be more than enough time for those interested to be able to register. Then take the names of the people who registered and mix them up in a hat to arrange a choosing order or some other way that you think is fair for a selection process. You'll post the list of the selection order so that everyone can see it and now when they would choose for the contest. Then you pick a number between 1 - 500 and have the players give their selection according to the order of the selection list posted. Once everyone has made their guess, you'd reveal the number and the player closest to the number would win. If there is a tie, than those 2 players would face off in a head to head match-up in another number selection. Whether you want it to just be 1 - 10 or 1 - 500 again or something else is up to you. In the end, you'll have a winner in a pretty fair contest and it won't take you as long as this endgame Safe Words idea you are trying to do.

That's my idea to help you out.
Whoever said, "Cheaters never win" must've never met Khushrenada.

It's incredible. We had several roles that could make a hit on anyone and we (not me) whittled through them perfectly.

I feel good about my vote for Pokepal, continuing the trend of hitting a role on my first try. The rest of the votes were for Khush mainly because of bitterness, for absolutely no reason (even when I gave him one), and self-preservation. I knew if I voted for him and help the mafia out, the wouldn't make a hit on me. It was clear he was townie by the third day.

I have to give it up the Tofu. I'm not sure how you knew who to investigate, but you did it impeccably. You're the man of the match IMO.

As for the theme, I thought it was hilarious. I didn't know you could make an entire game centered around one character, but you did Lucario. As someone that didn't have a role, I can't really comment on the rules. From the outset, it seemed skew against the townies, yet we won handily so maybe not. Anyway, thanks for hosting. I had fun!

Yeah, the thing about a game like this is it can sometimes feel like it favoured one group or another, but that's just a result of the way things play out and it can really go either way. The killers getting eliminated so early is what gave the investigators so much time to find the Mafia, if that didn't happen then the body count would have been much higher and they would have been at much higher risk. Therefore, I don't think the setup was inherently unbalanced, a few roles could probably use some tweaking but I don't think any one group was super powerful. So overall, I would say nice job Lucario.

Congrats to the townies!

Before I begin my thoughts on the game, thanks for everyone that has given me props. After walking away from the win in Animal Kingdom, and having my mafia team get picked off at the end of Sonic mafia, I feel much better about my mafia game. I came back to mafia to eventually win one of these games, so I'll always remember this one.

First of all, Lucario, I know some things probably didn't go as planned as you hoped for the game, but I have to give props to anyone who runs these games. The Waluigi theme made for some very entertaining posts from everyone, and it brought me many hours of entertainment. Keep hosting, learn what you can from this game, and make the next one even better.

I know I was extremely lucky with my investigations this game. Literally every pick I made was a role. Had I not chosen Stratos for Day 4, I was going to pick Insanolord. Sometimes the game gives you a break, and that's what happened to me.

I could not have done as well as I did without my two partners, Khushrenada and Mop It Up. Khush is a wealth of information, and I appreciated gleaning what I could from him. His insight helped me focus my investigation, and that's how we were so successful. He also played the main force of the social game. It's not easy for me to reach out to people, and Khush stepped up and not only acted as my shield, but also helped us swing votes to go the ways we needed. Likewise, Mop had some great insight and always backed us up.

I also have to give props to the townies for eliminating the killers on the first two days. I had no hand in them, and both killers could've changed how this game played out. We couldn't have done it without your help. In addition, thanks to Silenced for believing my PM and trusting me on the final round. While it seemed certain we were going to win, having his vote helped solidify the end of the game.

Finally, I have to hand it to the Mafia as well. None of you were eliminated from obvious mistakes. Like for Stratos, I only checked on him because I wanted to add him into the alliance. Just because the game ended so soon doesn't mean you played poorly.

Great game everyone!

Just got back so here is my thoughts on the game.  Yes I was going to be absent so I asked to be townie because of this but we didn't get that so I tried to mix it up a bit.  Knowing that the rest of the mafia should vote me out day 3 or so.  I guess I should not have changed my vote day 3 so that was my bad.  Some of our hits were just ignored but voting out the killers early on was pretty crazy, with this many roles figured it would have been a blood bath but somehow it didn't.  Enjoyed the posts, and congrats to stratos for using the avatar I made... Waaa!  All in all pretty fun but hope to actually be townie next game as I'm mafia about 70% of the time on here for some reason.  Guess the randomizer likes me!
