From Gamespot: "As expected, Resident Evil 5 will take advantage of the PS3's and Xbox 360's high-definition graphics. Takeuchi said that one of the main goals of RE5's development was to use said graphics to deliver a tangible "atmosphere" to the game...". High def not on the Rev? Maybe this is why it looks like it will not be on the Rev.

As someone else has said, PC games are above the 640 by 480 resolution as standard now. There is little if no slow down in the games I play. And I have a older Ati card. Just imagine what Nintendos new ATi card can do.

kairon, you sure have a lot to say :-) I dont know why people here are defending Nintendo so much in their decision not to have HD support in the Revolution. Nintendo is not always right folks. HD is the future whether people here want to admit it or not. (I can hear people here saying we dont need no stinking color tv, games look and play great on my black and white tv). I play PC games in high resoution, since there is very little if any slowdown. And this is with previous gen Ati card. Nintendo should have HD support, if N does not want to use it then fine. Let other developers use it. I honestly dont see why they would not include it.

Yes it is their business and it is their right to run it into the ground also. Nintendo use to be #1, now they are #3. Does that bother you a little? It sure bothers me. They should be #1. They keep on making the same mistakes every generation. No cd, no online, and now no HD? Come on. N is on a downward slope. They have lost counless fans to the PS and XBox in this generation. I sure hope the Revolution is Revolutionary to get some of those fans back. You can not expect a company to keep loosing market share and stay in business.

As KDR was saying, there is very little difference between different resolutions on PC games today. And the Rev is going to have a next gen GPU? I dont see any noticeable slowdown at all. If todays PC games can play at extreme resolution with little slow down why cant a next gen system have a smaller slow down (if any)? if Nintendo does not include HD, that will be a very dumb mistake. HD is the future.

- 1 MB L2 cache

That is a very powerful CPU! 3 PowerPC cores at 3.2 GHz, and 2 threads per core? If the Revolution and PS3 will have more power, we are talking about monster consoles.

I am surprised they did not do a tvio like system with the original xbox. With a HD, internet acces (tv guide updates), why not do a tivo? All the goods were there. I dont think that is extra 'crap'. If the hardware is present, why not? It would be dumb on MS part to not include tivo in Xbox 360. I am using 'tivo' in the PVR way.

I have been following the blu-ray vs HD DVD discussions for a while. Can you show me a link where they will merge? Last I heard they were in discussions.

You could do comparisons for virtually everything if you wanted. Personally I hope the Xbox 360 does good, completion is great :-)

PSP just came out in the US and you are saying it will be a distant second? You are way too early for that type of prediction. Wait until after Christmas, then we will have a much better idea. Remember PSP had very little advertising before it came out. I still have not seen a commercial for it. If it was not for this site and a few others, I would have no idea it was out now. Though weak sales of the PSP so far, looks good for the DS :-) At this point of the game only.

So you dont think Nintendo has a huge battle on their hands? I would suggest you stop drinking that coolaid ;-) You have to be honest, things don't look that good for the DS. A million lead. uh uh. Just wait. Every week the PSP is outselling the DS, wont take too long to catch up. When/if it does, then what will you say? What execuse will you give Nintendo then? I want Nintendo to win this battle, but they are not looking good. DS should have blown the PSP out of the water. If Nintendo does not slow the PSP sales (with a few awesome games), I see a huge snow ball effect starting for the PSP.

Rumors of a new GameBoy, PSP selling very well. I know I wont be buying DS anytime soon. Very few titles for the DS also. What is N doing? I really wanted a DS over the holidays and now I am happy I did not get one. Sad to say that. Wait and see mode.
