Sega's "I Would Die for You" = American DS Launch Title!
« on: October 06, 2004, 12:34:18 AM »
The headline says it all. Except that the new American name is "Feel the Magic: XY/XX"

IGN DS has too much stuff to quote. Here's the link.

Yeah, certainly a brave move by Sega. I would buy it.

It sounds really fun and odd actually.  Kinda of like dating sim meets Wario Ware.  I am excited, but I hope I can rent it or play it somewhere before I have to buy it.

Who at Sega felt that "Feel the Magic: XY/XX" was a better title to use than "I Would Die for You"?

The concept is very interesting and I think we actually have another game in the microgames genre WarioWare created.  Looks like it could really fun.

Though, like Pac-Pix, I'm questioning how much depth this is going to have.  Both of those games sound like fun diversions but with not much depth.  DS games are rumoured to be more expensive than GBA games so they better have some meat to them.  From what I've read about this game I would pay about $20 for it.  $10 for Pac-Pix.  That's a lot lower than the rumoured $40 price tag for DS titles.

I like it more, in a slightly nerdy sort of way.  XY and XX are the male and female chromosomes, respectively. But you knew that already.

I like the XY:XX part of the name.  Its fun.  Feel the Magic part is stupid.  I fully expect a name change before release.

The original title is too ambigous to what kind of game it is.

I wouldn't mind a similar title like

XY:XX The Dating Challenge
or
XY:XX Gaming
or
simply
XY:XX

It looks cool. I might get it. We'll need some good launch titles, after all, goon chatter and Metroid: Shoot That Guy won't last us forever

Well ok.  My names weren't that good.  But "Feel the Magic?"  That is just stupid.

I understand the idea of putting the word feel in the title, but Magic?  huh?

The graphics look really cool, but I don't know if it's my type of game...I moistly await further details!

Edit: the name just sounds Japanese to me.  Weird and corny, but that's how I like my video game titles.
That's my opinion, not yours.

I'm suprised this game is coming here. This is one of those dating sims that the japanese used to keep to themselves, but since the DS is supposed to be novel, this would be appropriate. A sega game I actually care about getting on it's release date...WHAT?!?!

I liked this quote from IGN"By using the touch screen, you'll wash the dirt spots off her arms and face...but don't rub too forcefully or she'll get irritated in more ways than one. She coos and grunts at you as you clean her off, which should get you some glances if you play this game in public."

It's been awhile since I have been looking forward to a Sega title.

I'm so gonna get this game when I get a DS sometime down the road.
