Since Nintendo has said they have shipped the new Wii straps, I thought it be a good idea for people to post when they got theirs.

and...

Cause we all want to know, post your experiments on what it took to break your old one. How much did you have to do to get it to break. I intend on putting mine threw a rigorous experiment to see exactly how much force it takes to break mine.....of course I only have one

Reminds me that I need a replacement strap for the remote that came with my Wii Play. My console came with the new strap but the Wii Play didn't...

I would have asked for 4 straps whether I needed them or not, honestly.

But I do have 4 Wiimotes so it was needed.

I asked for 4, just in case. (even though I'm still waiting for my 2nd Wiimote...)
Mine shipped on Sunday apparently (Dec 24th! weird but yeah)
I probably won't have them for another 10 days (international shipping, bleh!)

I noticed the when they got more in at the stores they still have the old strap....I wonder if you didn't order enough to begin with if nintendo will send you more if you buy another controller that didn't come with it

My two straps came in today. I put my order in the first day that I could. I probably got them before many other people because I live fairly close to NoA.

Hang onto them in case the original ones break.

Having backup straps never hurt anything.

That's what I did. I ordered 4 extra even though I only have 3 controllers. Plus my old straps have yet to break. I just want to be prepared.

I haven't decided if I'll replace all four or wait and see if these break.

I'll probably replace them all and see if they still break eventually...

I just drove over to Nintendo today and picked up two for my original Wiimotes. Near as I can tell (I didn't compare), my new Wiimotes should already have them.

THEY HAVEN"T EVEN SHIPPED MINE YET!!!!!
figures, i'm always last to get my stuff, when it says 3-5 days, I can always count on it coming on the 5th day

Straps came in a padded envelope in the mail along with a nice flier warning me, again, how to properly use the Wii Remote.

Like UncleBob, I received a second pack of wrist straps (two straps in each pack). Maybe they are making sure we have enough straps for both current and future remotes. There must be plenty of remotes still being sold with the old straps.

Yeah... I got my order of two in the mail yesterday and received an e-mail earlier tonight saying my order is shipping out again (received this same e-mail last Friday).

They are ALL after you man.

At any rate I ordered 4 straps. Because I'm dishonest and I like free stuff. Hell I still have that dumb, white, plastic hand I got for free through that DS promotion. I can't get rid of it. I mean it's a FREE hand.

The second or third day we knew of the free straps, I ordered four. Then I decided to order a Nunchuk soon after that same day.

The Nunchuk arrived before Christmas, but I got an email from Nintendo only yesterday saying they that they may be another 5-9 days.

Seems they were much more eager to ship out items that were paid for. Makes sense though.

I just got *another* e-mail from Nintendo saying that my replacement Wrist Straps have shipped. That's three e-mails now... will I get three packs of straps?

I just got two packages of straps and a letter with a check from Nintendo of America. I have NO idea what the check is from.

A friend of mine came up with an interesting idea. Nintendo might be shipping straps to those who have registered their Wii. In addition, they might be sending to those who used the online form.
