I wouldn't mind getting the remakes as downloads.
I doubt they'd be available individually, but if there is ever a Virtual Handheld service, then the Gallery games might be available through that. I've always felt that Game and Watch games were the perfect portable games. They are simple concept games that are easy to play and hard to master, and your goal is to get a high score so they are good for short bursts of playing. The Gallery versions also have an "interrupt save" feature which allows you to suspend your game, so if you have to suddenly quit then you could pick up where you left off later.

Ogre Battle 64? That was released in North America ten years ago...
That's actually a big release for Europe, as the game was never released there.

Is this really only 80 coins? That seems low.

According to Nintendo (it was in their press release), yeah. I guess that didn't want to just give it away for free. This might be a good solution for people who complain about not having anything worth spending their coins on, it would also encourage people to set up a Club Nintendo account.

I don't see the game listed on the Club Nintendo website. How does one go about downloading it?

EDIT: Never mind, I just read the press release which says it will be available on March 31st.

If I remember correctly, Snake's Revenge was a game that was produced without the authority of the game's creator, Hideo Kojima.  It was made specifically for American audiences because we didn't get the real game, Metal Gear 2.  Snake's Revenge is not part of the series' canon.

It was made specifically for American audiences because we didn't get the real game, Metal Gear 2.

Actually, that is wrong. Konami made Snake's Revenge first. While the game was being developed, one of the games staff member talked to Kojima about the game and said the game was not an authentic sequel and requested that a "true" sequel be made by   him. Snake's Revenge was first released in April 1990, Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake was first released in June 1990.

In a interview with Steven Kent, Kojima actually said he liked Snake's Revenge.

This weeks PAL releases:

Super Mario Kart from Nintendo for SNES on VC (800 points)
Chronos Twins DX from EnjoyUp Games for WiiWare (700 points)
Family Mini Golf from Aksys Games for WiiWare (500 points)
Oscar in Movieland from Virtual Playground for DSiWare (800 points)
Spaceball: Revolution from Virtual Toys for DSiWare (500 points)
AiRace: Tunnel from QubicGames for DSiWare (200 points)
Puzzle to Go Diddl from Tivola for DSiWare (500 points)

I thought "Diddle" was a joke name, a Google search show Diddl is some kind of cartoon mouse. Only that DSiWare release is new, all of the other games are already out in North America (although the Chronos Twins DX game is 1000 points in North America and 700 in Europe).

Even earlier, North America got it on November 23. Still, that is only about four months, Europe had Super Smash Bros. for almost six months before North America got it. I wish I knew why Nintendo waited so long with these two huge releases.

Family Mini Golf is a case of better late than never, it came out in North America in June of last year.

btw, Ironclad is actually a NeoGeo CD game which is why it's 1000 points instead of the usual 900.
