So I got an e-mail invite to a special Club Nintendo event introducing the DSi to public.

The invite is for Platnium Club Nintendo Members only, and will allow you to try the DSi with your favorite game and they reminded you to bring your DS to see the difference.

Has anyone else got this invitation? 

The March 29th event is at the Gamestop in Arlington, Texas.  I am excited to see what the DSi is like, and hopefully, they will have some demo DSi ware.  I will also make sure to ask the representative if there will be a VC for the DSi and what systems will be represented.

Nobody got an invitation about this, or has heard of these events? 

Anybody else live around Dallas Texas?  I am surprised I am alone here.

I am a Platinum level Club Nintendo member and a e-mail subscriber to GameStop, and I haven't heard anything.

I was born in Dallas :)

Sadly I'm only a gold member and am 60 coins shy of platinum.
I heard some other poeple got invites as well around the net so there should be a number of poeple there.

I never heard anything about this either, nor have I received any such invitation. Maybe they were only sent out to people who were close enough to the event(s)?

Perhaps, I live in Arlington, so it is only like 15 minutes to go.  I am surprised there isn't events like this all over.  I will report back what I think and what the event was like.

We're already discussing this in the Club Nintendo thread in the console forum.  Many of us have received an invite.
