I expect a lot of people to be dissapointed with this conference because of a lack of 1st party old school core titles (damn I almost typed tities).

Really? I think the opposite will be true. Nintendo has disappointed its hardcore fans at the E3 conference, so I think they've learned from their mistake and they're going to focus more on those kinds of games to make up for that disappointment. They already pretty much have the softcore audience locked up tight, so now they just have to expand into Sony and MS's turf.

Some people just never learn, I guess.

Expect a lot of Wii Sports Resort and probably a quick demo of something new or improved that uses the motion +.

If a game is going to be released soon after (maybe Disaster) I expect them to talk about it a lot as a way for some good advertisement and excitement directly before release.

I'm thinking they might talk about Disaster, Pikmin 3 and probably Wii Music and Sports Resort. I'd love to hear a Captain Rainbow coming to America (or Europe) announcement, but I'm not banking on it.

It's a Japanese retailer conference, so there's no reason for them to have anything relating to localizations...

Whoever mentioned F-Zero, DAMN YOU TO HELL!

I still play GX from time to time. I can't imagine how sick it would be on the Wii.

BTW, have you ever thought about what F-Zero would be like if it were planes instead of cars?

I have yet to see an airplane racing game that isn't Diddykong racing.

I'm hoping for one of the two if not both to be announced:

1. The storage solution will coincide with the SD Card Association's new standard that will let people boot info right from the cards.
2. A new DS system.

I'm sure neither will be mentioned at all, instead a Wii in different colors will show up and people will lose their minds for another year trying to get the best color.

Considering Captain Rainbow already came out on August 28th, I wouldn't be expecting that either.
Still a safe bet. I've seen companies show off games that are already out. Someone said a new DS. Maybe in a perfect world where we all ride unicorns to the moon.

Again, this is a retailer conference...They won't show off products that are already out...

New Pokemon Stadium, a mention of about six "core" titles being worked on for 09, which may or may not include Wii Sports Resort, Kirby Wii is included, a new Mario DS game, and a DS Redesign for Feb. or March 09.  Expect Nintendo to go back on their word of "no" price drop, by creating new Wii and DS bundles.  The units will have the traditional price points, but will be better values, in order to compete with the new Xbox price points.

Also, we'll see mention of an update that allows greater SD card functionality, for VC or DLC in general.

I do believe that it will be a good conference! They said at the end of E3, this is not the place to reveal all our info... or something close to that, so maybe this is it!? I really really hope so, if they screw us again, I will be not happy. Got a 360 that I play more right now due to lack of games and lack of hope for hardcore gamers.

Why would they try to compete with the 360 price drop? The Wii doesn't need a price advantage, to most buyers it's the better system of the two.

It also doesn't because you still need a hard drive for the arcade unit which is incidentally atleast 100 dollars so the price of a arcade is *gasp* 299.99 which is.......the pro unit! But if you need cables, headsets and xbox live the price increases dramatically.

NOA is having their own event too on the same days http://wii.ign.com/articles/911/911159p1.html

All I hope is that it isn't another peripheral or a new colored anything. I want to see something that hasn't been shown off.
