It also doesn't because you still need a hard drive for the arcade unit which is incidentally atleast 100 dollars so the price of a arcade is *gasp* 299.99 which is.......the pro unit! But if you need cables, headsets and xbox live the price increases dramatically.

They have a special promotion with the Arcade and Forza/Pinata for 188€ here, add a harddrive at 100€ (I presume, the 60GB HDD doesn't seem to be sold yet) and you get a system with two full games and the usual 5 Live Arcade games for ~20€ more than a Pro while the Pro comes with zero games. I'd consider a Pro currently if it came bundled with games but it seems they've stopped doing that for now after they introduced the 60GB HDD.

me wants:

F-Zero Wii with an online system that surpasses MKwii.

Metroid Dread will finally be confirmed (perhaps as a launch title for the rumored DS 2)

Wii Music discs used as coaster.

Ehhh...... I just can't bring myself to care. There could be surprises. Or not. Either way, I can wait. I won't hype myself up for shows anymore.

Maybe they'll show some new stuff we can complain about!  :D

"New IP"
"I wanted ZELDA"
"New Zelda"
"Where are the NEW IP's"
"MARIO BASKETBALL?!!?"
"No Ian they didn't announce that!"

Here's what I honestly expect:
- A new Wii Sports Resort demo showing new events and WiiMotionPlus

- A new Wii Music demonstration featuring new instruments and the unveiling of new game modes

- Early footage of Pikmin 3

- Talk about Wii and DS sales

- Some new WiiWare titles from Nintendo (they haven't released any games in a while)

- Mario Party 9 featuring MotionPlus controls

- Some new DS titles

- New City Folk footage with a WiiSpeak demo

- A surprise game announcement (A big maybe, I expect it to be either a sequel or the next game in the Wii series)

- Lots of whining and bitching about Kid Icarus, Punch-out or any core title being confirmed

Fans are already making the mistake of getting their hopes up. E3 I understand the disappointment because we were promised a great show. This is merely a press conference in which they will show off existing, upcoming products. I'll be stunned if megatons are dropped.

- Talk about Wii and DS sales

This is by FAR the most accurate prediction anyone has made.  Nintendo will dedicate at least half of the conference bragging about how f*cking rich they are.  They'll likely brag about not lowering prices and stuff like that too.

It's a retailer conference, they'd at least brag about how much money that means for retailers.

Quote from: Gamekyo
We can announce today that Nintendo will reveal a new game for the Wii during this event which is actually an old franchise that everyone is waiting for. Nintendo press conference will be held in Japan on October 2nd.

My prediction is a slight glimpse of Kid Icarus, Disaster dated, new DS model, and a persuasive speech that Wii Music is what we've always wanted.

Im going to get my hopes insanely high, but not at its peak. I want more than anything else a new Nintendo developed Star Fox, but I don't expect it for a long long time.

I can see F-Zero, Pikmin, Zelda, and Kid Iccarus, all befor Star Fox... boo!

Hm that reminds me... Maybe by "old" franchise they meant Pikmin which has been announced but not shown!

I still think it'd be hilarious if they showed of a Zelda title, but Star Fox might be a candidate too since they haven't given us one recently (for wii that is).

I'm not putting money down on Kid Icarus though, for a few reasons.

Well Wii is new and GC era "flops" might be old to nintendo, so theres a chance Bill! Plus, if we're going to go the cynical anti-nintendo route here, it'd be easy to think that Nintendos "promise" of an 'old' franchise we've all been waiting for will turn out to be something that we don't want or dont consider old and be all casual and blah blah blah.

But i'm not really going that route. I'm just being a jerk cuz i dont wanna get my hopes up for anything. Oh and Star Fox is kinda old considering the last god game came out in '97 (?)
