OK thats cool to see, but I didn't pay much attention. Are they playing on 1 single Wii U or is it some kind of LAN?

That's my question -- is it one th same console?

It does look like they are using two touch controllers, but seeing how this is all developmental, it doesn't say much for the commercial release of the console. The game is played like that on one system though. It would be nice to see alternate play modes for online or lan play.

The player doing the shooting is using a classic controller. The one placing enemies is using a Wii U remote. I was there, I saw it for myself. Other people have reported this same thing, as well.

thatguy is correct, but I will let you see for yourself as a picture is worth a thousands words.
-Notice how the guy on the right is using a TV on the floor and his controller is much smaller and tethered to something in his pocket.

And honestly, I posted this video days ago in the WiiU thread. I would hope that I(and everyone else that watched the video) and everyone else that was actually there would have caught something like that.... Especially since a question was asked during the the Q&A about using 2 uScreens at once.

I noticed that after that.

it is probably all developmental and really hard to say what is going on. I dunno if i can afford a second controller.

in the future there will likely be games that use two. you and a friend doing a wii sports styled game. People will get bored of the overlord/underling thing I believe. Though it is hard to say, I guess a lot of hardcore people like to play online and hence wouldn't have others in the room.

if you plug a second controller to a 3ds then you can use two.....

Wait, BlackNMild2k1 actually sleeps? I thought he was an AI script programmed to scour the web for juicy tidbits and post them here.

What would a better more modern equivalent be? Hold the IPhone?

Nintendo still hasn't announced whether this will happen but it would answer some questions I had. Miyamoto did say it could be done in theory

Two is acceptable. Four would have been nice, but it would be too taxing on the system.

I'd say for games that keep the second screen simple; just a static screen with touch shortcuts, HUD, or 2D map or something, 2 controllers should easily be possible. I can totally understand why we cant have an incredible Chase Mii with 7 chasers and 2 runners though.

That touch screen controller would allow the ideas for fighting games on the DS work on Wii U.
Also, I'd love to see what the Trauma Center/Team games will do with it.
