I've been asked via PM what happens in a tie.
It's very simple. No one will be voted out. In the past, I've had extra time for tiebreakers but with around 48 hours to choose a majority vote, if you can't reach it by then, I doubt 30 more minutes is going to solve anything.
Second, there is the townie role of Babe the Pig which can solve ties or possibly create them. The point is, there is an ability already in the game that has influence on voting. Of course, it could end up removed from the game over time if the player is eliminated but for now there is something that can act in cases of ties as a final decision of whether the vote stays jammed up or solved. This role can change anyone's vote even if the person they change hasn't voted that day.
Finally, I don't have a problem with nobody being voted out in the day. If players want to jam up the vote and take their chances with the night actions, I feel that's a valid strategy and I suppose if players wanted to vote abstain and that was the majority vote, then we could always end the day early that way instead of waiting for a majority vote against a player. As a player, it's not an option I'd choose but I'm just hosting this game and I recognize that other players see things differently than I do so I'm not going to dictate everyone play as I would and deny the option.
So let it be written. So let it be done.
