"Well, I really do love Super Smash Brothers. It’s a great series…but, Nintendo hasn’t asked me yet if they can use Mega Man in their game. I’m still waiting…we have a little bit of time left, it’s not coming out for another few months. They might get around to asking us if we’d like to put Mega Man in Super Smash Brothers. Maybe if somebody from Nintendo is listening to this podcast, they’ll give me a call."

I second the hope for a Mega Man add to Brawl. Am I happy the game will possibly be delayed? I don't like to entertain rumors, but at least I'll have some more time to play No More Heroes. There are a lot of games I want that will be dropping in Feb. all this means to me is saving some loot (maybe). Either way, when it's out I'm buying. Just don't mess with Mario Kart.

This game just gets better and larger every day, the final product is almost of too much magnitude to imagine. Win.

Nintendo Gaming / RE: DS Virtual Console coming sooner than later?
« on: January 08, 2008, 12:10:23 PM »
There were a few Final Fantasy games for the Game Boy, I'd like to see Enix revisit those since most people in the states never played them, me included. Super Mario Land, Wario land and Link's Awakening are classics.  But how many original Game Boy games were not seen on the NES? How many decent original games could you expect to see? Also I think that the Game Boy games would need some fixing  on all fronts.  I wouldn't mind if they were cheaper than a NES VC game or at least the same price. But are you expecting to play this on the DS?
Kairon is right in that we will have to wait for a DS 2, but who here can say for sure that will happen this year?
It's a tough deal to see interesting peripherals made for one reigon not bought to another, I hope this isn't the case with the DSvision.
If we ever see Virtual Boy games on the VC then I would say they've gone too far. How many of you remember it? Ever play it? It was awful and there's no need for any of that sort of insulting piece of work.

This sounds like Harvest Moon mixed with Animal Crossing. It sounds cool, could be good.

Bad show- put it on the shelf with the DS Camera and the Slider.

Woah there... Easy now tiger.  You have to read what Nintendo is actually saying.

the Nintendo DS will be able to receive demo versions of some DS games from Wii, but not the entire game. The demo will be erased once the Nintendo DS is turned off.

The quote directly says that full versions of DS games will not be available.  I'm sure they carefully worded that statement.

Not saying we'll get a DS VC anytime soon (or at all).  Just sayin'...

Alright, but let's be straight and admit that Full DS games are out of the question now, what would be coming- if it were coming to the states would be Game Boy and Game Boy Advanced games on the VC. The product description for the DSvision lists watching movies, reading comics and more. I don't see the DSvision coming here because of those capabilities and that is messed up. We all read comics or watch movies and would take advantage of its availability on the DS, I would be real excited if the DSvision came to the US, but considering the fact that most of the media available for the DSvision will be manga and anime related franchises the chances of it being released in the US are slim.
So with demos being available soon I have this to say: I live close to the Nintendo World in New York and there haven't been many new demos for the DS in a long time. It's all stuff that has been out for a long time already, the best thing you can download now is Ninja Gaiden, do that and then be prepared to wait eight months for something else.
Also the DSvision site is up! http://www.dsvision.jp/

The function of the DS camera was just to play Face Training, I can imagine that not going over well here in the US where everyone has a camera in their pocket also there is no printer nor a connector of any kind. The holistic aspect of Face Training is completely unheard of in our culture. But really, if you want to play it you should just go and get it if you can.

I was told in August that the camera is better than a cellphone, just as good as the PSP camera, but you cannot save the pictures you take except on the face training game. I opted out, at least with the Game Boy camera you could print. I still got stickers from that era!

You'll just have to figure a better way to pretty that face up then. The camera should have been in stores for the Summer, but I found out some lame features about it and decided not to get it as an import. I don't even know if they'll make another game for the Slider. If any of those products make it to the states I'll be shocked.

Maybe it'll be that the DS and the cart are written to each other and can't be used with another system. Also will it be like those 100 game carts? Old school! I hope there are GBC and GBA games, but also lots of upgrades for existing games. More tracks for Mario Kart, extra maps for Metroid and more items in Animal Crossing please.

TalkBack / RE: Play Music on Your Wii Through MP3tunes
« on: December 28, 2007, 03:58:51 AM »
The Photo Channel doesn't play mp3s anymore, it's an interesting alternative, but there are other services that allow one to do more than just play music. It's interesting though in the fact that if you store your files on their site then you could go to someone's house and play your tunes through their Wii, but I don't see that happening. Especially once February pulls in. It's nice to see people making stuff though, work that Wii!

All these strategy games are pouring onto the DS now when it should have been like this a year and a half ago, it's not that these games won't be fun, but given the fact that so many srpgs are being released now it's over saturation. I mean, another Front Mission was just announced for the ds, now it just feels like more of the same. : (

The last thing established games need are mini-games, there have been enough good games gone lost to mini-game vortexes. Anyway, this game is going to great.

TalkBack / RE: Greenpeace Paints Mario as Bad Dude
« on: December 15, 2007, 04:51:30 AM »
*psh* Rarely anyone ever talks about Sony's contribution to the US military. I understand companies have to try a lot harder to reduce the pollution they generate, but it really seems that Greenpeace didn't do enough research for their study, if it could be called that to begin with.
