Hey, maybe they can start selling it again for the holiday? Or permanently? Permanently is good.

Eight months after its discontinuation, Super Mario 3D All-Stars has received an update to include another controller for one of its contingent games.

The update is now available for download and adds support for the Nintendo Switch Online-member exclusive Nintendo 64 controller to Super Mario 64. A similar update was released about one year ago that added support for GameCube controllers (via the adapter) in Super Mario Sunshine.

"Permenently is good". Tell that to all the people who bought it specifically as an investment. When it's announced to be a limited engagement, it needs to stay that way.

If you bought a freaking Mario Game, which even at a limited run still guaranteed had like 7 million copies produced, in order to flip it when it became super rare and valuable, you might need to learn to find better investment opportunities.

Nintendo is not in the business of selling investment vehicles.  The fact that anything you buy from them could appreciate in value on secondary markets is incidental.  If the market demand for a product is there, they should produce that product, especially if the "limited" nature of the initial release was to the chagrin of their core market.

Good, now sell the controller without requiring a membership.

You haven't been inside physical stores lately have you?
