Wow I didn't catch that whole Nuclear Speed thing the first time.  I need to read closer.  I just saw that we got another one and moved on.

I also noticed that somehow Vudu was able to switch roles, allowing the Mafia to kill.  Could the Mafia use this as a tactic and continue to switch Godfatherhood?  That doesn't seem fair at all.

"Jan, the repairs on your Power Suit appear set to finish much earlier then projected. This is despite that the salvage drones have been unable to do any repairs themselves, it appears when placed together correctly and a burst of energy is applied, the suit begins to repair itself. The Bio-mechanical systems in it appear to be the cause. Attempts to cross-reference this technology with previous systems have failed. No reference to any similar system found."

Cato finished announcing the results in its monotone voice. Piloting a ship meant for a crew of seven alone would be impossible, but having a dedicated AI onboard made it easy. With majority of its personality systems disabled, Cato could make free use of the ship's computer banks and run massive algorithms that would crash other machines in mere seconds. With it, Jan could maneuver the small frigate as if it were merely a fighter.

Jan Alexi paced back and forth in the renovated bridge. She now wore a combat-ready Federation issue uniform, this one black with white trim. The armored panels were just visible beneath the cloth. She twirled the laser pistol around her finger by the trigger guard as she listened to the results.

"So," She began," How much longer until it finishes?"

"Approximately two weeks." Began the machine. "However, some of the armor panels are missing. while there is no known way to rebuild them, it can be speculated that acquiring the raw materials necessary would allow the bio-mechanical systems to full rebuild itself. I am currently analyzing the alloys as we speak."

She sighed. For the remainder of this crisis, her suit was FUBAR. Without it, she wouldn't be anywhere near full combat ability... Unless...

"Cato, is that prototype armor we salvaged form that crashed Federation research vessel combat-ready?"

"Combat ready? No. However, I can bring it out of storage if you wish."

She smiled at the thought of trying out a new toy. It wasn't as good as her Power Suit, but it would serve. "Good, load my neural configuration into its systems and replace the power cells with fresh ones. I'm going to take it for a spin."

Jan cleared the gap between the roofs easily and kept running, dashing across a traffic light spanning the street below while maintaining perfect balance. This power armor was nothing compared to her suit, but it had its perks. It didn't override body signals, so she could now feel the rush of the wind across her face. She jumped off the roof and hit the ground running.

The Federation would not be happy to know someone had their hands on it, but Jan wasn't worried. She had won the Federation's favor, even if she took advantage of the bureaucracy sometimes. Posing as an officer was a useful move, as a mercenary she could gain access easily and once inside a Federation base (unless you enter a highly secure checkpoint, then things get messy) no one checks your ID as long as you're in uniform. That's how she was able to get all those uniforms. And majority of the weapons in her armory. And a good portion of the supplies on her ship. And some maintenance drones. And some parts of the computer banks. The standard "My CO sent me" excuse worked most of the time. And the fact she was probably the only woman many of the men had seen in months helped. Sometimes a single smile could get her access to an entire armory.

She rolled under Master Hand in-between pounds and kept running. Jan jumped from the street to a car, onto a van and finally onto another set of roofs to see how far she could push this suit.

*Tries to pick up a veggie turnip from the ground but pulls up a bomb, looking around frantically Peach spots the giant master hand attacking random townies.  Peach LOBS THE BOMB AT NUCLEARSPEED.*

I don't owe him anything. I never agreed to the bet.

Your math doesn't add up either.

End of Day 1 - thatguy hit
End of Day 2 - Attempted Mashiro hit
End of Day 3 - Attempted Khushrenada hit
End of Day 4 - Attempted Khushrenada hit
End of Day 5 - Attempted Khushrenada hit

Therefore, in order to send out the hit on me, Vudu would have to have been godfather at the end of the day, (even though he was killed in the day vote) and therefore should not have been able to switch and then send a protection. Something's off there.

The skyscraper was extremely high, but with the help of two combat knives Jan had scaled it. She hadn't stopped moving since she put this suit on. She felt at home in it, like she did her Power Suit. It was almost uncanny... Without thinking she pried back one of the armored panels on the left arm, and with a knife cut into the technical bits bellow. The arm locked up for a second, and a sudden discharge of energy shook it. The cut healed. Jan put the armor plate back on and knew what this meant.

The Federation was reverse engineering Chozo technology.

Jan patched into Cato and ordered the AI to dedicate some sub-systems to begin preliminary analysis. But as soon as she had done so, an icon popped up on her HUD. She zoomed in, and saw an old friend. Samus Aran.  Hadn't she left? By running around this city, did she accidentally reveal this suit to the Federation? Had Samus been sent to return it? She could run, or she could find out. And Jan Alexi was no coward.

She took a step back, dashed and jumped into the air. Her HUD ran the estimations. Freefall was a rush of its own, and right before the ground met her, the Grav Chute deployed. Jan landed safely in a crouch position, while the momentum was released in a shockwave beneath her. The asphalt cracked deep and several nearby abandoned cars were sent flying. Jan rose, and spoke calmly.

"Hey, Samus. Nice to see you again."
