For the record, I wear boxers. Wearing women's clothing is something I wouldn't want to do. Not only because of the social problems that would involve, but it would be REALLY uncomfortable.
Anyway, the reason I left was because it's just silly to include a character who only played a small role ina single game and was not in any way shape or form involved in combat. It's only Samus I'm protective of.
[rant]Why that is, I don't know. Probably because I loved Metroid back on the NES. It kinda sunk in, and Samus was an unusual female hero for the time. She was a silent hero that accomplished her mission without question or sign of fear. Or any emotion, for that matter. She always seemed almost inhuman, a warrior without regard for herself.
Plus the suit. The Power Suit got me thinking. The concept of it was interesting. In ancient times before rifles came around, a soldier with heavy armor stood much more of a chance of survival then one with less. Power armor like Samus' power suit seemed like the next step in the evolution of warfare after bullet proof vests.
Probably, it's a mix of that stuff and old-fashioned nostalgia. I loved Metroid. What else can I say?[/rant]
And yeah, I lied about leaving this thread forever.
