Hmm, anyone have any nintendo (or mario specifically) trillian or winamp skins? I need to be as big of a fanboy as possible.

There is a kick ass nintendo one I'm using now for winamp...its very confusing to use, but its all Mario Sunshined up....I'll see if i still have the install file stuff..i kind of doubt it though...

I'm not too familiar with skinning winamp as I haven't been using it in a long time...but is it just the one file that you need? Its all I can find in my winamp directory....here it is...

what do you mean there is no way to save the file? Just save it..what browser are you using?

edit: did you try right clicking and saving as? Sorry i'm a little uppety...i'm still configuring my server and I always get frustrated when people have problems.

Ok for that wal file, I think that is all you need, and I have it working in winamp 3...just put that file in the program files/winamp3/skins directory, and it should be selectable...lemme know if it works..its one sweet ass skin...

Hmm, that was weird, I did it before, and it crashed winamp. Did it this time and it worked fine. Sweet skin.

You basically pack a bunch of bitmap files into a zip file, and rename it to wzs or something like that. (sorry, had a bottle of champagne tonight). I designed a winamp skin once in a Xenogears theme. It actually looked quite nice, but I never did completely finish it, and I accidently erased my most recent version of it. It was awesome though. It was a picture of Miang with a blue neon glow...

man, you guys must REALLY like those skins... especially 67.75.224.152, who seems to have downloaded each one a good 5 times. hrmmm...

EDIT: Sorry folks. GCN Skins taken down because it seems that someone around here just doesn't like me. I ask to take it easy on my bandwidth, and I don't appreciate people downloading the same file repeatedly.

Spurred on by grey's comment that the winamp skins are just renamed zip files, i went ahead and opened up the sdtheme file for the eternal darkness theme with winRAR, and bam, sure enough, there is all the files you need for a normal windowblinds installation...so all that tricky stuff I talked about before you don't need. Just use win rar, then put the files in the proper spots. Kind of handy.

My apologies... I just checked the server log again to confirm a sneaking suspicion of mine. Whoever was downloading all the skins must have been using a download manager or something, as I just realized that the http codes were 206s instead of 200s... my apologies.

GCN Skins are back up. But please try to go easy on the bandwidth, k? I promised my roommate that the cable bill wouldn't be insane.
