Are you guys all using Nintendo Theme Manager to load the themes?
Or are any of you using WindowBlinds? I am trying to use WindowBlinds and it doesn't seem to work as it should...If someone else is using WindowBlinds what is the proper way to import the theme? I have tried just remaning the file to a .wba extension, but this doesn't import all the sounds and features...

Here is what I did, load the Nintendo theme manager and then load the theme. It will then create the larger folder of all the different files within the them in the Nintendo theme manager directory somewhere on your drive. Find that folder, then copy that within your objectdesktop/windowblinds themes folder. The theme will then be selectable within windowblinds. So repeat the process for each theme and then uninstall the nintendo theme manager. That is what i did. If anyone knows of a better way, throw it up here.
I too am still looking for the ED and GBA themes.

Thanks for the help. Did you have WindowBlinds loaded prior to loading the Nintendo Desktop Manager? I did and it appeared to hose up my WindowBlinds. Haven't uninstalled it yet though so maybe that's all I need to do. With it installed the WindowBlinds themes are no longer visible in Desktop Properties and trying to "Add" them doesn't work.
Haven't heard back from anyone yet on the extra themes, but I am willing to host them so please let me know!!!

On a side note, i have had them disappear from the list in desktop properties a couple times. I have no idea why this happens, but a simple solution I found it to take all the them folders out of the windowblinds directory, restart windowblinds (now nothing will be available in the desktop properties screen) then re copy the files and restart windowblinds again. That seems to work for me. Like i said, its very buggy and weird how it works, but I have mine working and I only had to do the re-copy think like twice so far.

Also, *please* help me find Eternal Darkness. I know some of the guys in this thread said they have it. If anyone knows how to get ahold of these guys please do. I would be happy to host the file. This is one I really want to find.
Also, if you live in Europe and haven't registered a Nintendo product you can download Eternal Darkness theme just by registering, so if you happen to do that I think everyone here would really dig it!

EDIT: I try to exract the theme manager from winrar, and I get an error message:
1 themeManager.rar: Unknown method in themeManager.exe
2 themeManager.rar: No files to extract
Any ideas anyone?
EDIT 2: I just downloaded a newer version of WinRAR and it went ok.

You basically pack a bunch of bitmap files into a zip file, and rename it to wzs or something like that. (sorry, had a bottle of champagne tonight). I designed a winamp skin once in a Xenogears theme. It actually looked quite nice, but I never did completely finish it, and I accidently erased my most recent version of it. It was awesome though. It was a picture of Miang with a blue neon glow...

But, if you don't want to use the Nintendo Theme Manager... EVER, follow these simple instructions.
1) Download all the files
2) Open them with your preferred extractor.
3) Drag the files or extract them to your WinStyles Themes folder.
IMPORTANT: ONLY DRAG THE game.sdtheme (ex. starfox.sdtheme) FILES DON'T WORRY ABOUT THE 1280 or 800 FILES (ex. Starfox800.sdtheme), IT WILL STILL WORK FINE!
4) Rename the extension from sdtheme to XPtheme
5) Click yes to the box.
6) Double Click the file and click yes to the next box to apply the skin and all other parts!
The reason why I wrote this is after I installed the NTM, it totally screwed up my Stardock apps, and I had to reinstall all of them.
Hope this helps... and if you want I can host these files on MY server, 30GB of BW a month

what the hell i did in the past few months, i should find this forum much earlier
