Nintendo Gaming / How do you get those Author icons to work?
« on: July 24, 2003, 05:30:10 PM »
Could someone please tell me how to get those author icons.  I type the address in the little box and click "update profile", it loads and comes back to the profile page.  What do you do then?

Nintendo Gaming / Animal Crossing. What is it?
« on: July 24, 2003, 05:06:55 PM »
This may seem like a stupid question but what exactly is Animal crossing about.  I've never seen it anywhere

I don't know if you've already said this and i'd rather not read through 20 pages to find out, but is it possible to race in single karts like in the other mario karts, or do you have to stick with doubles.  I reckon that it would be more fun to have 4 single carts on 1 console then just 2 doubles.

Nintendo Gaming / Windwaker Bonus Disc
« on: July 22, 2003, 07:07:32 PM »
I recently bought windwaker and i only realised the second disc when i opened the box,(shows how much I read).  Then i saw the sticker on the box that says that it may not work with older TV's.  I tried it on my tv and sure enough it didn't work.  When it loads at the beginning  it says the TV needs to be able to do 60hz.  Im just wondering if i need the special RGB(optional component video) to be able to run this game, or do i need to plug it in to a newer TV?

About 3 arrows will do the trick.  Also, you can go into any cyclone and the wind god will appear.

Nintendo Gaming / RE: How much does equipment cost where you live?
« on: June 27, 2003, 01:56:07 PM »
Sorry about that, the prices I mentioned are Aussie dollars.  I'm not to sure of what that is in American dollars though.  But Alas, that is the price that we have to pay for a session of good quality gaming.  I'll tell you some more.  The GCN is about $200-300 depending where you buy it, Memory card 59's are around $30-$35.  251's are about $50-60.  It sounds like in your countries that the consoles are more expensive than ours but everything else is half the price.

I live in Australia and I tell you that although nintendo stuff is half the price of the other two systems, it is still very expensive.  I've seen in other topics that you mentioned prices for various peices of gaming.  When i saw them i nearly had a heart attack.  I costs $100 for a GBP, $70-80 for a decent GBA game.  I was just wondering what countries you people are from and how much Nintedo's, games etc are in your area?

Nintendo Gaming / Sector 2 in Metroid Fusion
« on: June 21, 2003, 07:56:19 PM »
I need help with sector two in metroid fusion. (dir)  Right after you get the morph ball bomb.  The door blows up in the room before the data room you use to download the bomb.  You have to bomb your way down and follow the road until you get to a main hall as such with about 4-6 doors.  I was wondering if someone could tell me where to go to get to the next nav. room.   Sorry if this sounds a bit confusing.

I don't know if im in the same room as you, if thats the one where there is a missile expansion under the frozen water, you need the grapple beam to swing up to a platform and use a missile to knock down a stalactite down through the ice.  I may be in the wrong room.  If thats not the answer try using the plasma beam.

Nintendo has just released today a peice of technology that works just like the old super game boy for SNES.  I was just wondering if it also emulates what the link cable does with games that are linkable.  EG.  metroid prime and fusion are linkable, for some things.  i was just wondering if this platform can do the same thing.

Ive done pretty good with the game, but im stuck one 1 shine.  It's in the level with the big hotel/motel and casino.  Its the last one i think where you have to collect the eight red coins.  Ive tried and tried this many times, but there are two that i cannot find no matter where i go.  I was wondering if any of you people out there would be able to help me.  Thanks.

Nintendo Gaming / Gameboy Advance Attachment
« on: June 19, 2003, 01:24:19 PM »
In Australia, the new GBA attachment came out today.  Im just wondering if the attachment also does the same thing  that the actual unit link to the cube does.  For example.  Metroid Prime and Fusion are link compatible as most if not all of you probably already know.  I want to know if this new deck also simulates this, of if it just works like the old super game boy and does nothing but play them.  I'd like to see what you think.

Nintendo Gaming / RE: rogue leader - targeting computer effeciency?
« on: June 18, 2003, 07:16:03 PM »
Efficiancy is how much you use your computer.  If you use it very occasionally you will get a higher score.  I used to think it was accuracy with the computer.  But i hit targets with pretty much every shot once and I still got zero.

General Gaming / Is there anything superior about the X-Box or PS2?
« on: June 18, 2003, 03:40:42 PM »
On another note.  How much do the systems cost in parts of the world you come from.  I dont know if many of you are from other countries.  I'm from australia and the Cube is the Cheapest of the three at around $200-250.  The X-Box and PS2 are about even at $300 - $350.  Games are the same price and the memory cards, controllers etc. for the latter systems are pretty much double the price of the Nintendo equipment.  Whats it like in your part of the world.????

With regards to the Dolby sound,  I've heard that the %.1 only works when watching movies or cinematics, not with actual game play.

I reckon a big boss in MP2 should be Kraid instead of Meta Ridley
