« on: December 06, 2012, 03:15:40 AM »
Well as long as you're just cooking for yourself i don't see anything wrong with experimenting. Are you just going to have the bacon for dessert, or are you thinking of combining it with something else to make it into a more "traditional" dessert?

anyways, you got me interested in the idea as well and i found this page after a quick google search.

Sonic 06 in a nutshell

If you've ever been morbidly curious about that game but didn't want to subject yourself to it, the game grumps series on sonic 06 is perfect for you XD

Torra Torra Torra
Part Japanese and part English, this is a pretty interesting docudrama about the events leading up to pearl harbour, showing the Japanese formulating it's attack plan and the internal power struggle between the Japanese navy, army and emperor but also how the attack was made possible due to politicians in Washington tieing the navy's arms behind it's back and a series of blunders on the part of the military top brass. Ironically, the only boring part of the film, in my opinion, was the actual attack on pearl harbour.

sold out online but may have some luck in store

a fps/rts hybrid

tv screen is your fps veiw and you act as a field commander, the game pad is the rts veiw with an overhead veiw, you're able to issue orders and research from there.

and in multiplayer, all your teammates are actual players with one commander (but squad leaders get to issue orders limited to their squad)

^
although, come to think of it, this would be perfect for battalion wars wiiU

watched no country for old men
I was really surprised by this (I basically don't know anything about movies so I usually go into them without knowing a thing about them). I really loved how they conveyed all the story details clearly without even saying much --which is surprising seeing how its based off a book; now that's skills.

Anyone have a suggestion for the most visually stunning movie? I'm talking about real life and no CGI. I want to test out a new TV and my phone.

Right now I'm thinking about Planet Earth or Blue Planet or Life or some **** like that.

you could probably try 2001: a space Odyssey, as far as i know, there's only practical effects (except at the end)

That looks out of context, but still hilarious because it doesn't even look like they know who he is.

BTW which online sources do you fine folks trust or value the most?

I don't even bother catching up on video game news or reviews anymore, i'm more interested in podcasts and editorials. As for videogame podcasts i pretty much only listen to the NWR lineup, this site also has good editorials but i mostly read gamasutra.

SUPER learned from Marxist Saul Alinsky every argument on the internet ever, when you start to lose an argument, accuse your opponent of something then change the subject. Never acknowledge the point of the opposition.

No one will believe you though, so I guess the only way to prove it is to have me be a guest on the podcast.  And then I can do my Ray Romano impression

DO IT

A THOUSAND YEARS OF DARKNESS

but seriously though, you guys put too much stock on the presidential race, its the house elections that really determine whether or not the president can really get anything done what with the vicious partisanship. Because of this party politics in America is beginning to resemble a parliamentary system without it's perks. Also, a two party system doesn't help things one bit.

long story short: make sure you go out and vote 2 years from now as well.
