Thank you for another Famicast podcast episode!!

It's weird to see Bokujo Monogatari mixing with Popolocrois.  Yeah, it's not going to be your standard farm simulator, and a lot of people may not know of the Popolocrois franchise, but with proper marketing, you can reach people who would love to get to know this RPG and other games of the series, past, present, and future.

I hope it does well enough for the teams behind it to keep putting the effort in giving people outside of Japan the opportunity to experience these types of games that often stays in Japan (which makes me sad).

What's the name of the last song?  I don't know if it was from a Nintendo game or another song from 8 Bit Weapon (I've gone through all of the songs on the website).

Isn't Natsume's new Harvest Moon: Seeds of Memories there at E3?  How is it?

I know that it's not from the Bokujo Monogatari series, but I'm curious to know what Natsume's doing with this game, since it's the first one coming to Wii U.

This game just sounds like it's incomplete.

-Having just a shallow 1-on-1 versus mode for offline multiplayer sucks.  I was expecting 4-players, but it that wasn't possible, at least have bots to fill up team slots.

-Also, there's no offline co-op multiplayer modes in this game either.

-It also would have been really cool to have two players on the same console play others online, like we do with Mario Kart, or with Smash Bros. against friends.

-Having just 5 stages is terrible.  Nintendo said that they're adding more throughout the summer...but that's because the game is most likely incomplete. I definitely wouldn't pay $60 for this.

-What's with the lack of customization options for online games?  There's no way to set up teams, you can't choose to play with friends, only 2 stages that's randomly picked every 4 hours, no way to adjust the time limit, and we already know how there's zero communication between players in the game.  I just don't want Nintendo handling online games anymore.

Maybe Nintendo will surprise us later on with new modes that will give the game more depth, but right now, it seems to me that the "full" game probably won't be available until August.

I wanted the matches to be a little longer, at least by a minute or two.  I felt like when a match was ending, I was just getting started.

Also, why have amiibo used for online play?

For co-op, why not have each player choose a character, Fox, Slippy, Falco, Kat, Krystal, etc., with more more enemies on screen, so that you'll have to work harder as a team to help one another?

Have you ever played the Silkworm/SWIV (Firepower 2000) series?
Those shooter that allowed two players to play together with one player as a tank/jeep and the other player as a helicopter.  The helicopter only fired straight ahead, but was able to fly over everything, while the tank had to drive and jump around and over obstacles (including things like using bridges).  This sort of idea could be used in Star Fox, with with each player having their own screen or with a player having their own full screen on the Gamepad.

Ever since Star Fox 64, I've wanted to be able to play a full game from start to finish together with another player.  They could have it so some levels will require the use of an Arwing when you're in space and the submarine when underwater, but for other stages on land, they should allow the player to choose weather they want to fly in an Arwing, or drive on land in a Landmaster (like the Jeep and Helicopter in Silwork/SWIV/Firepower 2000).

I'm starting to feel that the second mock review, "Hell", is probably the most-likely kind of review we're going to see when the game is done.  I've waited too long for a great follow-up to Star Fox 64, but I don't think Nintendo's going to really give me what I really want.

I hope I'm wrong, and that whoever's in charge really knows what they're doing. I'll keep my fingers crossed and hope that the next Star Fox game surpasses Star Fox 64 in every way and truly outshines the rest of the games as the best in the series.

Just once, I'd like to see SquareEnix release a good Densha de Go game here.  I don't care if they decide to port one of the old PS2 games,  because many of those games were done right.

Harvest Moon is now with Xseed as 'Story of Seasons' from now on.

« on: May 19, 2014, 07:32:23 AM »
-I hope that they'll have the game running smoothly without major flaws.  Warriors Orochi 3 Hyper had character popping in and fading out constantly.

-I'd love to see Samurai and Dynasty Warriors come to Wii U, along with their other games (One Piece, Gundam, etc.).

-Will it have online and offline multiplayer story modes?

-Please lay off the DLC.  Tecmo Koei brings down the fun once you discover that cool costumes and stages were left out to be sold on the side.  :(  I want a complete game.

-Physical disc, please.  Digital-only games like these suck.  They're STILL selling games on eShop for a LOT of money, when they can easily be found at most retail stores for a fraction of the cost.

-No pre-order bonuses.  Everyone should be able to enjoy the same game.

It's their competition, business partner, and Wii U supporter.  Why did Nintendo not know about this.  Do you think that maybe Nintendo just doesn't know how to make 5-players work?  Or will a 5th player be too much for the game to run smoothly?

If it's 60 fps for 1-2 players and 30 fps for 3-4 players, what will having a 5th player do?

It'd be nice to have CrunchyRoll up and running on Wii U.  The internet browser doesn't play videos on their website.

This game is definitely on my "must buy" list when it is finally released here in North America.  I've imported the others on older systems, and now I can finally have one in in english without the extra import and shipping fees.

I'm sorry for being unoriginal.

I've always wanted them to sound like they do in the anime. ALL OF THEM.
They still sound like something from the earlier games.
