TalkBack / Re: Possible Details About Zelda Wii U Emerge?
« on: April 16, 2016, 05:28:23 AM »
As each year passes, I become less and less a fan of Nintendo. I honestly feel Nintendo is closer to becoming a third party developer than what any of us realize, even Nintendo, themselves. If it is true that one can play as a female Link, I will not buy the game, and I may just completely quit playing on Nintendo consoles.  No one wants a male Samus, or a female Mario, ect, ect.

All Nintendo does anymore is alienate its fans, make stupid gimmicky aspects to their consoles, that no one wants. Nintendo has no clue, period.

Quoting the beginning of the first paragraph: It's been two weeks since RFN last released an episode. :Q

Wrong! Should state three weeks!  ;)

Majority of other reviews I've watched praised MK TV. Its all about the racing, baby! While it is a shame that those who enjoyed previous iterations of battle mode in an arena setting, will not be happy battling while race on the tracks selected, in the end, its a very minor part of the game.

What the hell does one expect from a single player mode! Pathetic review, pathetic site, plus this coupled with mainly negative RFN podcasts, Nintendo fans should steer clear of this negative sore fest!

TalkBack / Re: LEGO Marvel Super Heroes Review

Sorry, but Lego MSH is NOT a 5.5 game!  :@  Look, I know reviews are based on opinions, thats fine, but a 5.5 game is a game that sucks ass. Lego MSH is not one of those games. It appears the reviewer was let down based on Lego's Undercover game and how much he enjoyed that game. I could even understand if he mentioned the game's technical shortcomings and docked points due to those problems.  :confused;

Basically, this is a great game, esp. if you are a Marvel fan. :-* The game is at least an 8.0. Check out other reviews, go to Metacritc, ect. I just wished that today's reviewers rated the game for what it actually IS, not on just what the reviewer wanted the game to deliver. Sure, I have zero problems with a reviewer stating his opinions, but at the same time, review and score the game fairly, esp. in the case of this game. This review is waaay off base compared to every other review I've read for Lego MSH. ;)

I have to disagree with Johnny about the way DKC:TF looks. Its much better than DKCR for the Wii and hell I can see this just from the vdeos. I'm sure actually playing the game in person, the game will look even better.

I can't remember what Johnny wanted from Retro, it was either something new or another Metroid game, which I'm sure as hell happy that it wasn't another Metroid. All tastes aside, Metroid doesn't have near the selling power of the DKC games. Heck, DKCR sold more than all three Prime games worldwide. He's only talking the game down cause he didn't get what he wanted. I'm sure at some point during the Wii U's life that there will be a Metroid game developed. At this point though, Nintendo is going to develop what sells the most, not what makes a niche group happy. Just like I was very bummed by Super Mario 3D World, I wanted a really cool, new looking 3d Mario game, not a game in the same vein as Super Mario 3d Land. Unfortunately, 3d Mario games don't sell as well as te 2d games, so I guess Nintendo went with this type of Mario game. Hell, they probably would have went with another 2d Mario game, except they did that at launch for the Wii U. Though, unless Nintendo can sell more Wii U consoles, none of their games are going to sell as well compared to the way games sold on the Wii.

Sorry, but the last game I want to see Retro, Nintendo or any other developer make is another Metroid game. In a 7 year period we had 4 Metroid games developed for Nintendo's consoles. Waay too many.

DKC:TF is only the 2nd DKC game in the last 3 years. Also, DKCR sold more games than the 3 Prime games added together. So, it just makes sense that Retro developed another DKC game.

Even though there are many Metroid fans, there is really not enough of them to justify developing another Metroid game right away.

I'm waay more happy we are getting another DKC game. Now, as far as what Retro develops next, I would rather have them work on anything but another Metroid game. Actually, I would love to see them develop a Mario game that graphically knocks our socks off. So far on the Wii U I have not been overly happy with Nintendo's own offerings, esp from a graphical viewpoint. It just seems like Nintendo is not taking advantage of the Wii U's power.

I have the Marvel Demo on the 3ds and on the two tables that are playable, all 8 table views are included.

Also, when you are logged into Zen Pinball on the Wii U and you pick a table that you havn't bought yet, you are taken to the Zen Pinball on Nintendo's eshop and then you just have to click on downloadable content.

Sure, as a huge Nintendo fan, I was really bummed that Nintendo decided not to go with the press conference at this years E3. Yes, I do really enjoy the Nintendo Directs, but I think Nintendo is wrong not having a press conference. People will perceive it as a weakness. I've never been one to think Nintendo is doomed & I don't think that now, BUT unless Nintendo does something soon, the Wii U might end up being Nintendo's worst selling console.

I think  people have got used to Nintendo's consoles always being around the $200 range. Sure, the Wii was $249 for a few years, but people perceived the price as fair, esp. w/ the new motion control tech plus the high prices of the hd twins helped make the Wii a huge success.

While I really enjoy the gamepad, at the same time I could have did without it. The money that went into the tech and production of the gamepad should have went into beefing the Wii U up even more & Nintendo should have just made the pro controller the standard controller w/ backwards compatibility of the Wii motes & nunchuck. Just like motion controls were limited to few games like Wii Sports/Resorts, Skyward Sword & a few other games...I see the same thing happening with the gamepad. Hell, Ubisoft's Zombi U is the  only game that take unique advantage of the 2nd screen. Nintendo hasn't even shown us why we really need a 2nd screen, other than using it as a handheld device.

Lastly, that damn U after Wii. No one, other than us Nintendo hardcore, understands what the U means. Shakes head slowly at Nintendo.

Keep being yourself James. Another great podcast guys!
