I'm with UncleBob, I too want a second GameCube [for my bedroom] but haven't decided that $100 is worth it to buy another one and I doubt they're going to do anymore bundles for the system.  I guess I'll just wait till I can find a Wii, put that in the living room and then stick the GCN in my room.

And I just also realized, I don't have to buy a SNES.  I have about 6 laying around the house [on top of the three I actually use].

UncleBob, bad news, turns out I only have one GBBrick and GBPocket, so, 2 in all

Also, if I was staying in town on the weekend I could hook you up with SNESs for $3 a piece [I pay cheaper ], but if time isn't of the matter to you, I could get them next weekend.

UncleBob, I have, in my possesion, two gray brick Game Boys.  The only thing is that one has scratches on the screen [plays fine otherwise], while the other doesn't have a battery case.

Find a way for me to get one [or both] to you, and you're golden.

The "hurrrr" noise is from everyone passing up the PS3 in order to buy DVDs, iPods, cell phones, Wiis, 360s and everything else under the sun except the system.

Hell I bought a monitor for $500 yesterday and thought that that was a good deal whereas a $600 I think is a ripoff.

I live in Lubbock, TX.  It's not the most populated city (about 280K) but still, just seeing them everywhere is making me pissed that people aren't buying those, and stealing all the Wiis.  Grrr.

One more occurrence.  When I went to Best Buy to buy a new monitor, they had the PS3s right when you walked in the store with no one even looking at them.  There were 11 of them just sitting there all "hurrr" while Wiis and DSLites again were sold out.

Damn you Nintendo

Well it happened again.  I went to another Wal-Mart looking for a Wii [to no avail so I picked up Christmas presents] and there were perhaps 20 or more PS3s just lounging around waiting to be picked up [along with 50 or so PSPs] while there was no Wii or DS and DSLite available.

Typical.

So the same phenomenon happened to me last night at three places I went to.

Feeling the need to play Zelda, and no Wii to play it on, I bought it for the GCN.  In my quest I tried Wal-Mart [to no avail].  The strange thing was that there were about 6 or 7 PS3s in the cases (60GB) with people just looking at them, then the price, then shifting away.  As I was walking out I saw one lady who had purchased one but for some reason was walking with it unprotected, in 20 degree weather, raining miserably.  Needless to say I hope it works when they get home.

I then tried another Wal-Mart for Zelda, but had the same luck with both the game itself and the PS3s sitting there in cases.  I thought it meant something and that there would at least be a Wii somewhere within the store.  I was wrong

I then went to Hastings and finally found my copy of Zelda.  I also found about 5 PS3 60GB models sitting there.  I asked about the Wii and got the no go sign and was heartbroken.  At least I got my game finally.

Another strange thing was that there were tons of PSPs but no DSs

I have to agree with the general consensus here.  I bought my 360 in my dismay to secure me a Wii but to tell you the truth, I couldn't be happier with my purchase.  I'd been wanting a media center in my living room to stream off music, movies and pictures just for show and with the 360, I didn't have to buy a PC [although I wanted another one].

I've had some problems with mine.  It was causing the games to have this weird rainbow polygon effect, so I took it back to where I bought it and got a new one.  After some vigorous playing of Gears of War, it hasn't messed up yet.

Live is where it's at when it comes to online services.  Some of the stuff  may be a bit overpriced, but hell, it's no more expensive than what the Virtual Console does.  Also some of the newer XBLA games that have come out on there are pretty damn good for being $10 or so.

The myth that all 360 [or even the good ones] games will be coming out for PC is the biggest sham this side of the notion that the South shot first.

Bowling is great.  My roommate and I are both avid bowlers so we were automatically entranced when this game was announced.  Seeing as it accurately portrays bowling right [besides some of the options], we are having a complete blast trying out all the kinks and everything in it.  

The only problem is room.
