HOLY CRAP! The Mandalorian trailer is the best Star Wars thing I've seen since the Return of the Jedi!

The Mandalorian trailer

For BlackNMild2k1: https://youtu.be/aOC8E8z_ifw

Looks like a TV show.... /s

So this is how Disney saves Star Wars.
I'm not into SW, but this looked pretty damn interesting.

My question, and I don't know if it's been asked or answered, but does Disney+ "Netflix" their shows or "Hulu" them?

as in, do we get the whole series at once, or do they do weekly releases?

That’s a good question. I’d prefer Disney release the entire season at once. I haven’t kept track of TV schedules for at least a decade but probably closer to a decade and a half. I go days without watching anything. Then there are times when I have time to watch a bunch of episodes in a row so if new ones aren’t available, I watch something else. Binging is great because is “hides” bad episodes.

I have read somewhere they will release the first couple of episodes together and then change it to a weekly release.

Did anyone post the Disney+ trailer? considering this is the Disney+ thread

and I wonder if they will just let me pre-pay several years of this service at a time. LOL

I'd prefer longer seasons. Like 24 episodes a season. But release 3 episodes every week. That way you get the benefits of binging and then not running out of something to watch. A hybrid method. Episodes don't have to be the same length though.

Eh... I'm far more skeptical on this. It might be awesome, or it might not. That trailer didn't do anything for me and I usually get excited for all kinds of Star Wars stuff. Somehow it felt like a (not particularly well done) space western; hopefully that's not how the show actually feels though.

At the very least, it looks like Disney won’t photoshop human eyes on the dogs’ faces this time.

In 20 years, Disney should make cartoon versions of all their live-action remakes.

Cel-Animation: You could not live with your own failure. Where did that bring you? Back to me.

Lady in the Tramp looks better than Lion King and the Jungle Book actually.  I like that it is a period piece, and I think humans already emote on to dogs and pets in general so it will be easier to feel the emotions for these characters than Lion King.  Also I don't think they are CGI dogs which helps get the "right" performance from the animals.

Adrock:  They won't do Cel-Animation.  They will do cheap 3D animation.  With Lion King they will just retexture the entire movie with a Cel-Shading technique and recast the movie.  Edit the scenes and add a few deleted scenes.  It will be the worst cash grab in history.

I would not be surprised if they keep the price locked in for a few years, so they time it right where your s year sub needs to be removed once they commence with the price hike.

In case anyone missed this: Disney will be releasing episodes weekly for Disney+ shows.

Disney is leading the charge against Netflix by returning to weekly episode releases

In most cases, I’ll probably just wait until all episodes are released so I can binge.
