The day after the live telethon for Child's Play, the crew gathered to discuss things with more traditional funding. New Business begins with a couple of tag team matches (playa) as Stephen and Austen test PS4 2.0's best non-sleep related feature in Shareplay, bringing new life to old local multiplayer games (even if the devs don't agree). To follow up, Stephen and Donald get a (Fantasy) Life and tackle the game from two wildly different perspectives. Donald then goes for the other end of the Shinovi spectrum by representing his (brother's) hometown in Vita prison life sim Freedom Wars, and after a brief warning about the Sonic Boom 3DS demo ends with early gushing over presumptive GOTY from all right-thinking outlets, Bayonetta 2. Austen sold out to The Man and picked up an Xbone, which explains the Explicit tag, and had a blast with Insomniac's revenge fantasy/Dreamcast tribute Sunset Overdrive and a couple of other mentions. Including a sequel to a game with the rare double release of WiiWare and physical DS - which Donald got wrong.

For Whatcha Watchin', Stephen leads with a brief Slugterra update before diving into quality animation in the form of Big Hero 6, and the extremly rote Freezing. Donald keeps the assassination theme going with the recent Keanu Reeves vehicle John Wick and still can't wrap his head around Bayonetta: Bloody Fate. Austen has some issues with some anime dubs - Hellsing Ultimate and the Cardcaptor Sakura movie - but is a little happier with the CW's best show since Smackdown, Arrow.

A brief double-feature touches on the Nintendo Direct including the announcement Donald was dreading, the announcement Austen was apathetic toward, and the lack of an announcement to get Stephen excited. After a quick debrief of the telethon segment - thanks to everyone who helped it clear $6,000 and get us catching prehistoric predators with Zach Miller - it's on to the Mushrooms for the return of old friends and Stephen's terrible, horrible, no-good, very bad week.

It's coming up on the end of the year, and we wouldn't mind your ideas for categories for the end of the year show - you know it's coming! Email us, tweet @nfrpodcast or leave them below! Until next we meet, please make sure a prominent internet messageboard doesn't eat us alive.
