Since you Americans will be enjoying twilight princess this time tomorrow and nowhere else will be, I thought i would take the liberty of creating a thread where all you who will be playing zelda before it lauches anywhere else can go absolutley nuts posting spoilers and other gems which people like me will not want to know until we play the game.  If you want to post spoiler free bits and peices the other TP thread would be good, so we can read without the wory of coming across a spoiler.  Thanks all in advance.

Only problem, we all wont be at the same point in the game.  I plan on getting it, and playing it as soon as possible, but I am sure that there will be people who play it faster as I am busy with school work, and I like to take my time on Zelda.  This thread is a good idea, but I dont think I will be using it.  I just suggest everyone just keep using the spoiler tags like always.

Yeah, I just finished the 5th dungeon, 33 hours in to the game.  You don't want to know anything I just saw today.  Mind blowing.

I am going to avoid Zelda-related information as I play through it. I might not even visit the forums for a while. Hopefully, I can get myself to play the game in moderation and enjoy it thoroughly instead of just racing to the finish.
Thanks for listening.

I can't believe I'm stuck already, in the beginning of the game lol.

I've got the fishing rod, I've destroyed the bee nest with the hawk, but what now? I'm trying to catch a fish for the cat, and I think I need a bait but I have no clue where to get it.

I've been playing for an hour and 15 minutes already, so laugh all you want, but I am really in need of help for such a simple problem.

I don't have the game, so if I'm right then.....lawl.  I really don't know, but it seems like a good guess...

Bill: Oh, I did that many times but nothing ever happened lol, I will keep on trying, thanks.

Edit

Haha, apparently I forgot that when a fish is biting the bobble moves, and hence my problem was solved and then I smacked my forehead for such stupidity.

Yes, that cat sidequest is freakin' hard.  I tried without any bait for quite a while and I was getting nowhere.  I'm glad someone mentioned it on here, because I didn't want to waste my whole day off searching for a bottle to hold bee larvae.

Awesome game!  When I captured the baby bassinet, I was so excited that I waved my hands in the air...and Link threw it into the river.  Oh balls.

The cat one is ridiculously tricky considering how close to the beginning of the game it is, and the fact that you're told about it before you get the required quest item.

Since I had just got done herding goats, I naturally tried to herd the cat, which went about as well as you would expect given the phrase.

I got stuck on that too, but after a few tries, the cat came around.  I guess I just had to fish closer.  The dog was really frickin' cute, no?

The cat is cuter, specially when he walks after you catch a fish.

Btw, I'm stuck again lol, damn those mines.

The fishing isn't that hard...ONCE YOU KNOW HOW TO DO IT.  I'm not a fisher (last time I went fishing with my dad must've been nearly twenty years ago) so I was expecting a more obvious bite like in Ocarina Of Time.  Turns out it's all about watching the bobber thing go offscreen, then pulling and holding the Wii Remote straight up.  Not very fun, though supposedly a later rod with a reel will make it better.  Still, I wasted half an hour there, after wasting half an hour earlier, that I got the green tunic at 3 hours in (to the minute, even), which is much later than anyone would've expected, even without the one hour I wasted.

Caliban ...

If you're stuck where I was in the mines, it's probably because you missed a key.  Go back to the room with the water spiders (who's name escapes me) and it should be on the left side (if you're facing north) in an underwater chest.

Jon ... the fishing is tricky, I was only able to catch fish in that one spot.  Later, even using bait, I can't seem to land a fish.  I know exactly how to do it, and can get them hooked, but for some reason, keep losing them at the end.  I can only assume you get a real pole later, based on the previous fishing demo.

Rick Powers is the modern incarnation of Nostradamus.

I looked everywhere for that key, like wtf...*I'm mad, really mad*...it's like every dungeon in TP is its own version of the OoT Water Temple.

*Goes back playing TP*...lol...this is getting really annoying so I'm going to detail exactly where I am:

I'm in an open area (you can see the sky), it has a lake underneath my uphill path, at the end of my path and to my left is the aggravating locked door, to my closest right is a hanging non-functional magnetic disc, to my furthest right is one of those beam-eye machines, in front of me are 3 monsters constantly shooting arrows at me but they are in an unaccessible platform.

The chest/key you mentioned in the water-spider room, I faced north and saw the underwater chest but it was already opened, so either there should be another chest, or I have no clue what-so-ever
.

There's a key by the cyclops lasery statue, "hidden" in a corner.  That'll get you into the next room.  It's so easy to find that you're going to nunchuk yourself when you find it.

*nunchuk myself*...like OMG finally, I can't believe I missed it...I really gotta pay more attention to my surroundings.

I'm going to stop asking help because it just detracts me from the fun of this game, I seriously hope I don't get stuck again lol.

All the people in Ordon are great.  Maybe I got too attached to them from wandering around for an hour trying that thing we were talking about before.

I had so much stuff I wanted to comment on but now I've forgotten most of it!

From the first twighlight section:
Midna is very annoying, but also the most helpful assistant Link has ever had, I'd have to say.  The scene with the villain attacking Hyrule castle was awesome.  I'm assuming it's Ganondorf, they were smart to cover him up.  Oh the suspensefulness!

From the first dungeon:
The Gale Boomerang is really awesome.  It was when I learned that I could actually use it to deliver bombs straight to my targets that it suddenly became one of my all-time favourites.

From the second twighlight section:
I like how the game makes you give up control every time you enter the twighlight.  No items, Midna treating you like her personal slave, and no going back until you revive the spirit.  It's scary but fun.  Oh yeah, and finding the kids again in Kakariko was pretty emotional.
That's my opinion, not yours.

YOU ARE!  Midna =

Oh and Dungeon 3 spoilers...Who else got deju vu from fighting the shelled creatures?  They were totally inspired by the Iron Masks from Link's Awakening!  The blobs also reminded me of the red gels from the same perfect game! =D

Eh, Midna's cute, but she's so bossy and rude.  I actually like her character in that she's exactly what Nintendo wanted - someone you don't think you can trust.

My first death in the game involved walking into someone's fireplace.

I've died several times.  The game is tough, but not overly so.  The Retry feature mitigates a lot of the penalty of dying, which is nice, since I don't save nearly as often as I should.

I haven't died for a while now, in fact I think the game is getting easier and easier.

Question (wolf form and post 3rd temple spoilers):

It's about howling, I'm deep into the faron woods and now I'm at a small place that has a stone with a triforce engraved on it, and I know I have to howl, but I have yet to fully understand this one because instead of howling bands it has howling points. I've checked the manual but it isn't very explicit. I will keep on trying but any suggestion would be appreciated.
