time to explain, this all happened about 6 months ago so my memory is a little fuzzy.
the story goes something like this....
A man owned a burger joint and it was doing really well, so well that he couldn't run the place and deal with all the customers by himself anymore, so he hired new people. He was always about pleasing the customers so that they would not only enjoy their experience at his restaurant but remember it and want to come back, new employees only really cared about getting their paycheck.
Anyway, one day a regular customer came in, while the owner was away on bussiness, so the new guy helped him out. The customer places his order as usual which included extra pickles. The new guy explains how he is going to have to charge the man for the extra pickles, but the customer insist that the owner always throws those extra pickles on for free. The new guy was worried about getting in trouble with the boss so he didn't back down. He insisted that the customer would have to pay the $0.50 fo the extra pickles, but the customer didn't agree.
To make a long story short, the customer wrote the boss an angry letter that resulted in the boss giving him a free burger(w/ extra pickles) for being a loyal customer and apologized for his employee. The boss had a talk with the employee and told him how that was a loyal customer and that it was just easier and more rewarding in the longrun to just give him the pickles.
and thats how they came up with the slogan 'Give 'em the pickle'
