Eternal Mafia Day II
« on: September 10, 2010, 04:32:20 PM »
"Confound this blasted piece of magick possessed technology!" Shouted grumpy old Maximilian Roivas. He was slapping the poor hapless gamecube as it had yet again frozen on him while he was playing a psychological thriller game.

"Oh, let it alone, it's not going to start working again because you hit it," Dr. Edward Roivas muttered from the table as he poured over some ancient documents.

"I'll bet it's because you suck at this game," chuckled Michael Edwards, "Move over, it's my turn."

"I really think we should be doing something more practical than playing with those fancy electronics," Edward began rubbing his temples, "At the rate we are going the Ancients will have passed away from old age before we find anything out."

"I still say we should destroy this purple cube of games," spat out Maximilian, "certainly something like this is possessed of dark magick and it will surely murder us in our sleep".

"No, it won't. It is an inanimate object powered by electricity. It cannot do anything outside of what it was designed to do"

"And what if it was designed to kill us in our sleep? What then, Doctor?"

Young Alex Roivas' scream broke the old men's squabble. "Oh no! They'redead!"

The men ran out of the room and found several others already gathered around two bodies being laid on the floor: Khush and Super, the Psychologist and the Investigator respectively.

~~

What happened:

Vote was tied!

Sudoulous 2
Apdude 1
Mop it up 2
thatguy 2

Dead:
Super - The Acolyte of Light
Khushrenada - Clinical Psychologist

I didn't specify it in the rules, but a tie will mean that no one dies.

Day 2 has now begun. It will end at approximately 12PM tomorrow and an hour after that is reserved for last minute night actions before I post the next day.

Oh, man--total bullshit.  VOTE STRATOS   :Q

Since we didn't vote out someone the two deaths must have been caused by the mafia and the killer.  Can you specify who killed who?

I was going to leave it anonymous but I could reveal them if people wanted me to. Either post in the thread or PM me and if I get two more requests for it aside from Vudu I will reveal today's kills and future ones as well. I don't remember what the mafia precedent was in previous games.

Hey, I'd like to request who killed whom, as well.  Not an auspicious start for the townies.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

Well, Khush did vote maneuvering to keep me alive, just because.  He also said he was aware of the detective before he died.  And was insistent on Sundoulous, despite him being a new player, which is a bit un-Khush like. I'm leaning in that direction.

Dammit, I was working with Khush. I finally manage to reach out and get someone on my side and the lousy mafia/killer/whoever kills him the first day. I'm just not cut out for this game.

Given history, I think we need to consider that stevey may be behind Khush's death, whether as mafia or the killer.

I don't know Insanolord. stevey knows that everybody is aware of his vendettas. He just wouldn't go kill Khushrenada because most people would pin it on stevey. I think a more likely scenario is that someone is using that rivalry to put blame on stevey.

Maxi is dead. I killed him and took his posts and changed genders.

That may be what it is too. I'm not even sure stevey is aware of what's going on, since I don't think he posted yesterday. I was just throwing it out there as a possibility.

Just for clarification...was the person infected with the bonethief aware of his/her status at the start of the game?  Is this a status that is known automatically, or is it something that has to be discovered?

Hmmm...either Shaymin, vudu or myself had their vote changed, it seems.

I wasn't alerted of any infection.

Does it affect my ability to win the game?  Or does it just negate my votes?

This is a bad first day. With no one voted out, there's not much knowledge to be gained.

I'm curious who it was that changed the vote to a tie. For townies, ties are bad, but for Mafia they can be good. I guess there's no way to know who did it... and also, I s'pose they wouldn't know what would have happened in a tie unless they asked Stratos directly.

Yeah. I got nothing.

Question to the experienced players.  So I gather that Khush had some enimies but what about Super?  Any leads/wild speculation on his killer?

Also is there any room left on the bandwagon?
