I'm the only player that tried to keep you alive! Why, stevey? Why can't you see the appreciation I have of you?

What in the world is this, why am I becoming the next Khushrenada?!

It's not a bad thing to be. Look at where things are in this game. The detective told people I was mafia and yet he along with most other players are still willing to vote with me against another player. I expect by tomorrow they will follow my lead and vote out another townie and give me the win because I've become universally adored in this game. Just think! You are on the path to enjoying this sweet life. Step one. Stop dying on day 1. That's the hardest part sometimes.

More like Monsters, Men and Hawtness with Stevey here.

You. Looks like it worked since you are dead and all.

The monsters plan on bringing Godzilla back but as MechaGodzilla whom we can control unlike regular Godzilla who has a mind of his own.

I expect by tomorrow they will follow my lead and vote out another townie.

Well, all that's left to see is whether this part of my prediction comes true. It probably won't as I expect the townies will still vote for me in hopes of a miracle and in an effort to show a never quit attitude but I'm still hoping the players will realize the impossibility of the situation and do it anyways as one more "I can't believe that happened moment" in mafia history.

24 hours and all will be revealed.

I do seriously think gigan is over powered.

I do seriously think gigan is over powered.

Perhaps and we can talk about it more in the post game although we are just about there. But even if I could only change one vote, then another mafia member would have made sure to edit their vote so that I could still achieve a tie by altering 1 vote and kill you and Stratos at the same time then.

The bigger mistake was outing a mafia member and the killer which caused them to try and join forces instead. I was working out a deal with Stratos to save him from the vote and whack a townie. I only wanted him to make one hit because that would keep the threat level up on both him and the mafia thereby keeping the townies from being able to choose who to hit. There is more that I had planned but again, I'm not going to give out any details yet as it is not yet the post game discussion. Just a couple points to think on.

I'm referring to your little threat to edit the vote... wait SPAK, you let him get away with breaking the entire voting system and I don't get to cheat death once!?!?!?!?

What threat to edit the vote???  He threatened to use his power as Mafia, to change the cote tally.  Which, he can threaten to do that...will the townies just surrender???  Maybe...I hope not.

I love Khush...but is it too early to sing

"Ding Dong the Khush is dead.  The Khush is dead...the Khush is dead?"

Seriously, I can't believe how Khush was able to last 3 days being mafia.  His first play to claim he talked to me was brilliant.  Also, on a side note...that lead me to my actions on the rules...if people private messaged me questions about the rules I mostly kept them private messages and did not explain them publicly.

I saw Khush post publically that no matter what he could change the vote to protect himself.  This was not my ruling, but in the game I feel I could not publicly say that without breaking the non-interference rules of the host.  Although, any private message I would have honored.  Even saying, I did not talk to Khush about roles.  (I obviously would not have told you his role.)

Anyway, this mafia may become interesting again...as it is now basically a regular mafia game...and the results after 3 days are basically what would have happened in a normal mafia game.  I hope this spurs more interaction again.  The game is not over for the townies...not at all.

I assume that khush decided to just go honorably instead of being cheap with his powers and using them to save himself.

Honestly I feel like I to an extent saved the game. In the end my gambit worked and the two most dangerous players have been wiped off the board and we are left with a normal game after all the chaos I created :D (although I would argue that there would have been just as much chaos if khush and stratos were both alive.)

Pokepal148:  No.  I informed Khush that his power would not work to save himself.  That his actions are a night action and can modify the vote…but not to save himself because he would be dead normally.  That was the ruling decision I made, much like the Doctor can not save himself.  He knew this all along.  He bluffed on Day 3…but it didn't work.

Night Actions have always taken effect after the vote.  So I ruled that if the person would be dead from the vote they could not use their night action.  However, if the person would not be dead from the vote a night action to change the vote could be done.

That was a fun three days. Even getting outed as fast as I did I still had a blast. We should do this again some time! ;)

I was celebrating my brother's birthday yesterday so didn't realise I was being viewed as a potential suspect. I really wish I could have defended myself. Ah Well.

The only real way for this game to end is in a three-way tie shootout.

Anyone got bets on who is going to blink first in this game of chicken? My vote is Insanolord.

PS- Lolmonade, clear out your cookies. I had a similar issue and that fixed it.

I want to register my protest now. Lolmonade changed his vote after 11:00, like the sneaky mafia bastard he is.

Shoot…I was hoping no-one would notice that…

For the record, I was logged-in on my phone at 10:58 PM, but I would cry foul at the NWR forum's pop-up ad banners added to mobile viewers, as I was mid-name change when I was suddenly re-directed to the home depot website, and had to start all over again.

That's exactly why I'm in favor of those banners.

When I host, even if I give a deadline, that thread is open for change until I've locked it.

Agreed. I thought it was a generally accepted rule that votes counted until Thread Lock.

That is how I played it.

I mean basically, the host is giving a basic deadline.  HEY GET YOUR VOTES IN…and if the host is late…the host is late.  And honestly…I was really late.  So if you noticed some switching…you could you know, switched your vote.  I hadn't locked the thread.  I wouldn't have known.  Then you could have voted and tried to tie it up again.

Agreed. I thought it was a generally accepted rule that votes counted until Thread Lock.

Before your time but early on when games were first played in the funhouse, hosts didn't have mod abilities to lock threads. Because of this, if the host gave a deadline of Midnight EST and your vote was 00:00:01 over that deadline time, the vote change didn't count and your previous vote stood. After all and having mods like Pale, S-U-P-E-R and Ty playing, someone asked or it occurred to the players that it might be useful to have them lock the thread at the day's deadline to prevent any over the deadline limit vote changes. Thus, even if there were cases where the thread was closed 2 minutes after deadline and someone changed their vote 00:00:01 seconds over the deadline, that vote wasn't counted even though the thread hadn't been locked.

However, later on, someone hosting just decided that the thread was open until locked and just tried to stick to locking the thread close to that deadline time. After awhile as other hosts sometimes logged on late to lock a thread, it just became the easier and defacto way to consider a thread and all vote changes made in it as valid until locked. That is the way it is mainly viewed unless someone isn't happy with the result and wants to argue it. Which is usually going to be Stevey blaming the back-stabbing, cheating, after-deadline-vote-changing mafia doctors and vote cancellers for breaking the rules and thus voiding their win. You might even get a vendetta thrown in for good measure if you are lucky. (I've been very lucky).

That is a little 101 Mafia History for you. All the details a host has to mention.
