It's gone.

I'm sad to have missed it. I think I've read almost all of his "final" posts. Any chance of sending it in a PM? haha

So is this the official Zelda thread now?

Well, Aonuma had a little something to say about the "flavour" of the new Zelda game.

Quote
The last we heard the Zelda Wii U was delayed, which is something Nintendo always does. Wondering how things are going? In the most recent issue of Famitsu, series producer Eiji Aonuma was asked just that. “Busy,” he replied.

Continuing, he said, “When we did Skyward Sword for the Wii, at the end stages of development, I was in charge of the characters’ dialogue and the in-game text. And, now as well, it’s like it was then. I had to work on text today, too,” he said with a laugh.
“But, the game has really taken shape, and things have gotten easier. That means things are progressing well.”  According to Aonuma, the keyword this time is “something new.” Ocarina of Time was a huge leap for the Zelda series and since then Aonuma explained, “I think the base of our secret sauce has always been Ocarina of Time. But this time, the change in flavor will be like going from Japanese food to Western style food. Perhaps, players will be surprised.”
“Please look forward to it, because I think we’ll be able to make ‘something new’ like Ocarina of Time was,” Aonuma added.
Previously, Kotaku reported that the new Zelda will be open-world and might not have the puzzles players have come to expect.

The best poster was wandering. May he rest in peace.

The worst poster is the Rat and all his clones; his current one is michaelbaysuperfan616, right?

I don't see why Reggie can't be like "that's a stupid name!" and not get fired.

I'm in favor of naming systems after things that are cool; like animals.

Nintendo Thundercougarfalconbird?

Deadpool just looks annoying and childish. I think by going for a higher rating they're going to be alienating their target audience aka 12-year old boys who still think lame jokes about dicks and assholes are funny.

They seem to be suggesting Rey is Luke's daughter, but I don't think so. I sort of felt that Rey might have been trained by Luke when she was younger, maybe at the academy at the same time as Ben, but was sent away protect her from Kylo Ren and Snoke once Ben turned. Maybe she had her memory and force powers suppressed and they were finally "awakened" after she got off Jakku. It just seemed that Han, Leia and Kylo Ren all knew who she was.

From my experience the levels aren't hard to collect 100% of everything or aren't interesting enough to go back to and try to collect everything. It's not a bad game per se, but a little bland and definitely skewed towards younger gamers.

Call of Duty still has 4-player splitscreen.

Did anyone get into the Star Wars: Battlefront beta much? I really enjoyed it, definitely captures that Star Wars feel. Some ironing out of some balancing issues and spawn issues and it'll be a lot more enjoyable.

So I've only had time to make two levels. One was then first level I ever made and took about 5 mins, the other took a little longer. I didn't feel either were particularly difficult but they don't have very high completion rates.

Man, I'm sick of these "automatic" and "don't touch anything" levels. The 100 Mario challenge is filled with them and I get it they're cleverly designed, but man they're ****.

So it's been confirmed that you can just skip ahead the date to unlock everything, so I guess people can stop having a sook about it now.

That's a good point. Maybe they could have Super Mario Maker pre-installed on the NX? That'd be one way to build and maintain the community.

If ThePerm thinks it's a bad idea, that means it's a really bad idea!

I'd love to find out the percentage of BnM's posts that consist merely of him saying something like "we already have a thread for that here" and then linking to a thread he started, even if there hasn't been a post in it for months.

Taking a break from meatier games before delving into The Last of Us: Remastered, I've been burning a lot of time into Rocket League on PS4.  Very surprised it was announced as free for PS+ on release, as I was mulling over buying it outright.

The game is like an over-the-top car version of soccer.  The games range from 1v1 to 4v4, but the online games & league mode are the most fun to me in at least a 3v3 mode.  You play on a field surrounded by a cage which you can drive up and across.  There is a boost gauge you fill by running over yellow markers on the ground, whcih are good to catch up to a runaway ball, or if you're aggressive, you can boost fast enough to destroy opponents' cars if you ram into them.  You also have a double-jump that works pretty well for both blocking shots and turning yourself around if you find yourself facing the wrong way.  Games last 5 minutes, which given the fast-pace nature of the game is perfect for a very frantic, generally high scoring game.

Fun game.  Don't hesitate to download if you have PS+.  There have been some occasional challenges in the servers showing offline for the game occasionally, but i'm hoping that's a temporary problem due to the game coming out.

Rocket League is great fun. Best new multiplayer experience I've had in a few years I think. Very simple to pick up, but difficult to master. They've seemingly got past all their server issues as I haven't experienced any for a while. Get this one PS+ owners before it costs money!!

I should have put "breaking any laws" in quotation marks, because it was a pretty ridiculous argument.

It's time for the Nintendo fanbase to let go of the Galaxy sequel idea completely. There's noting unique about that series except gravity and that wasn't even implemented well.
