And this is 2 weeks before release in China, where I'm sure you could've added another $100M.

Oh, and Black Panther is still in the top 5 domestic list right now, inching closer and closer to that coveted $700M.

So it looks like the actuals came in for Infinity was, and it reached $257.7M

That's $10M above the record everyone thought no other movie would ever top.
and to think that Avengers 4 is gonna have people salivating even more to see what happens next and how it all concludes.

Avengers IW has hit $300M Domestic in 5 days
it also hit $808.4M worldwide in the same time.

I'm pretty sure this will set the new record for fastest to $1B Worldwide
allll without China and Russia.

But I also bet A4 gets that full WW release next year, and breaks all the records again.

According to those that track China's advance ticket sales.... Infinity War could have a bigger opening there than it did in the US!!! It's looking like somewhere between $230-$270M!! O_o

If IW can pull this off in China, just imagine what A4 will do next year when Disney/Marvel makes sure it's all launch aligned Worldwide from DAY ONE!?

I'm curious as to what the A4 numbers will actually look like.  Will people who weren't fully invested in IW still go see A4 to see how the story ends?  Or will people go anyway, like they did for A4, because it's the biggest movie event since the last biggest movie event?  Like, where's the ceiling on this?

A little B.O. Update.

IW about to open to around $200M in China. I think it's a record opening for China. With international and domestic gross added to the total, I think IW passed The Avengers as highest grossing superhero movie of All Time this weekend.

But as the numbers stand right now...
Marvel has 2 of the Top 5 OW Domestic | Disney has 9 of the Top 10
Marvel has 3 of the Top 5 2nd Weekends | Disney has 6 of the Top 10

If IW hits around $65M domestic for this weekend...
Marvel has 3 of the Top 5 3rd Weekends | Disney has 7 of the Top 10

Now BP need to make $3M more WW so that when IW passes it, it won't get pushed out the Top 10 on the WW Gross Chart.
Marvel will have 4 of the Top 10 WW | Disney will have 10 of the Top 15 WW

and the craziest thing about it is that all the Disney movies are from within the last 6 years. The oldest movie being The Avengers from 2012!! O_o
