Over on CAG, bigkid43 was pointed out that Newegg has Sin and Punishment 2 for $15.99 with free shipping...

Thanks for the heads up!  My Target is still selling it for $25 so I just placed an order through New Egg.

GameStop Game Days sale, online and in-store
http://www.gamestop.com/browse/ProductMerch.aspx?groupid=807

$18 Cursed Mountain

I got "Cursed Mountain" today at my local Gamestop for $9.99.  I went there after work to pick up "Sacred 2" on the PS3 to play with a friend and happened to see it among the Game Days stuff.  It was the last copy.

my copy doesn't ship till Feb 1st.
super saver shipping.

I hate to be "Mr. Me Too" again, but me too, lol.  The more I read about the game the more excited I get.  I hope that it is good as everyone is saying and I hope that it sells well so that companies are willing to create more "hardcore" games for the Wii.

TalkBack / Re: Xbox Popped My Stressball.
« on: January 27, 2010, 06:38:48 PM »
I've had two RRODs, one in January 2008 and another in December 2009.  After the first, Microsoft repaired my console and sent it back to me.  After the second, Microsoft sent me a refurbished one.  In both instances I got a console back around 20 to 25 days after I shipped mine.  The customer service people were generally helpful and fortunately I didn't experience a nightmare like the writer of this article.  That said, I am very disappointed in the Xbox 360.  I can understand that they might have had problems with the console design, but if they truly understand what the problem is, why did my console RROD a second time after they supposedly fixed it?  The second RROD has shaken my faith that Microsoft has resolved the console's issues and I am not playing on buying any additional 360 games.  I already have a large library of uncompleted games and don't want to feel obligated to buy a new one when this one enevitably RRODs.  I now have a PS3 Slim and do most of my HD gaming on it.  It is 10 times quieter than my 360, has a bigger hard drive which I can replace if I choose, and is much cooler to the touch.  In my opinion with the new price, its a no-brainer, if you are in the market for a HD console, buy a PS3.

I already bought mine.... yesterday. waiting on super saver shipping though.

I'm in the same boat.  I'm excited.  TvC is the first Wii game that I ever pre-ordered.  Now I'm trying to decided if I am going to order an arcade stick or just try playing it with the Classic Controller.

Nintendo Gaming / Re: Best overlooked Wii games of 2009

The only major flaw was the sword fighting which suffered from touchy motion controls. M+ would have greatly improved the experience I believe.

I really liked Tench 4 as well.  I finished it twice.  I have to agree with you about the sword fighting.  There were times when I'd be really enjoying the game and then get discovered and have to enter one of those horrible fights.  They made me want to break my Wii remote in frustration or cry or do both.  I also hated the last boss battle it took me HOURS to win it on my first play through.

Nintendo Gaming / Re: Blaster Master confirmed for VC

I remember playing this game on the NES and enjoying it, but I don't think I ever beat it.  I may purchase it, but I rarely find myself playing VC games to completion.  I think the newer graphics and methods of gameplay have me spoiled.

$13 The House of the Dead: Overkill with free shipping at Newegg.com

Darn it.  I just bought this for $20 at Wal-mart yesterday morning.  Its a very good game though.  I've already beaten it and am about to play back through with some of the better weapons.

I have over 20 games for my Wii, but honestly I usually wait until Wii games are onsale or available used before I buy them. The interviews with Warren Spector and the screenshots for "Epic Mickey" have me really excited.  It may be the first Wii game that I pre-order.

Saw Madworld on clearance at Target this week for $20.98.

I picked it up on Saturday for $15.98 at Target.  I had been looking in my town for it on clearance, but couldn't find it.  I had to go to a neighboring city on Saturday to take care of some other things and popped into Target there and got lucky.

This is disappointing.  I wasn't expecting RE5 on the Wii, but I was expecting something more like a standard Resident Evil game.  I was hoping for a new version of RE0 or RE using the RE4 engine and Wii controls, but would have settled for just about anything but a light gun game.  I loved UC on the Wii and put over 24 hours into it, but the console definitely doesn't need another light gun game.  As some other poster said, it seems like the developers think the only games the Wii can support are light gun games.  The only thing I can say is that I thank God that I couldn't find a Wii when they launched and bought a 360 instead.  If I had the Wii as my only console from this generation, as I had originally planned, I think I'd be a very disgruntled gamer.

Update: Never get excited about anything involving the words "Nintendo" and "online"

No kidding.  I love my Wii and consider myself a Nintendo fanboy, but their online strategy has forced me to designate my Wii as my secondary console.  Online play is the future of gaming.  The social aspects of it create a gaming experienced that cannot be matched.  When I logon to Xbox Live it isn't just about the games, but also about socializing with my friends. Now my 360 has two reasons for me to use it and I don't mind investing in additional hardware or software.  I've even bought games just so I can play them with my friends.  Nintendo needs to figure this out.  They may have a hit on their hands with the Wii, but I honestly believe that they are going to fail if they don't have a consistent and coherent online strategy for the next generation.

My wife just got home from shopping about 15 minutes ago.  She picked up SMG for me and I am looking at the card as we speak.  I don't see any restrictions on video game hardware or diapers.  The card doesn't expire either, but after 24 months of non-use they are able to start deducting a maintenance fee of $2 a month in all but a few select states.

What is the difference between the rumble pack that came with "Metroid Pinball" and the DS Lite rumble pack?

I didn't know that they already had Wii demos in stores.  I may have to pay some places a visit tomorrow.  There is both a Gamestop and an EBGames about five minutes from me.

I'm not a big fan of rhythm games, but I may check EBA out once I bet some of the other games I've got lying around here.

I think you hit the nail on the head right there.  GI is definitely skewed towards the 16 to 25 year old male market.  Its writer's seem most interested in eye candy and mass carnage.

Nintendo Gaming / RE: Resident Evil 10th Anniversary
« on: November 04, 2006, 11:37:10 AM »
I saw the "anniversary edition" yesterday at EBgames.  I was severely disappointed in the packaging.  As an anniversary edition I thought it would be something special, but it seems like they just took the leftover Players Choice copies they had and put them in a cardboard binder.  This collection is definitely only for those who don't have the original games and want to get them at a decent price.

I'm willing to give it a try.  If it comes out at $25 or less I will probably pick it up.  Otherwise I'll wait until I can find a used copy.
