...and for reasons that were never quite explained I have an unhealthy obsession with torturing Pete Rose.

Perhaps you find yourself suffering from a form of dissociative identity disorder and one of your alter personas is a character similar to that found on wrestling shows. How long have you felt this way?

Seems like you have violent tendencies. Normally I'd recommend further therapy but a bullet to the head a more interpersonal method would probably work best.

Letting out anger from time to time may seem fine, and 'venting' can seemingly cleanse when in negativity. In short, however, the catharsis theory--becoming happier and less depressed/aggravated by vocalizing or 'ranting' about negative thoughts--is false, as doing such an action often leaves one even more distressed than before.

It is imperative, therefore, that you begin to strive to find more suitable ways to deflate and express feelings. A humanistic, person-centered approach can help in the long run. I'd gladly volunteer myself to undertake such a proceeding.

From what I have gathered you're looking for someone who can empathize with you well and give a good understanding and diagnosis of your situation. And along the way, I'm sure that your friends will be supporting you. Just so you know, it's a long battle, but together we can vanquish your raging tendencies.

Given your sudden outbursts and tendencies to seemingly become people other than your original self, you may be struggling to come to terms with your idea self, which can lead to many detrimental effects such as depression. This is the humanistic perspective, where bad feelings and thoughts are brought about people not liking themselves because they, in their mind, do not live up to the standard (ideal self) they have set for themselves. In which case interpersonal therapy will help.

It is also a possibility you may be affected by dissociative identity disorder, though this disorder is often discredited as a western world fad and not a legitimate problem. There are many who have claimed to suffer from such an interesting and vague condition, and you could actually be one of them. In which case you may also want to invest in therapy.

My rate is $50 per half hour, with the typical session running an hour. If the discussion veers into topics like Disney movies and My Little Pony, expect an increase in charges.
