Out of curiosity, can anyone provide details on how much effort Nintendo courting 3rd party developers has actually detracted from them producing their first party titles?

I sincerely don't know, but if it hasn't really impacted their ability to output their own games, what does it hurt for them to seek out 3rd party support for the console?  I know they were mostly ports, but the Wii U's launch would have been a drought if not for the 3rd party support it did receive.  If Rayman Legends for Wii U hadn't been delayed, but still had an announced Xbox 360/PS3 port scheduled for Fall, would it still be considered backstabbing?

And what about Bayonetta 2?  While they certainly may not have great luck courting EA, Activision, or other huge publishers, certainly the smaller devs would be worth seeking.

its more visibly hurt their release schedule
whats coming-out this month....
NOTHING

The best example of this is Take Two and Rockstar. Nintendo HAS to Grand Theft Auto V on the Wii U.

How do you Grand Theft Auto V?

id say lock down indies and let the third parties rot for all we care
eas not bringing madden to the wii u
gee you honestly thought we'd buy a vita port for 2013

and dont build a monthly release schedule on one game that will just get delayed to September and NOT have a plan B

I got a Nexus 4 this week. Given how this is my fourth nexus device (after the S, Gnex and 7) i'm pretty comfortable with how these behave.

So i just migrated everything over (including data and settings) and carried on. Took me about 2 hours.
the  nexus 4 is basically a gimped Optimus G (hardware wise)

I'm kindhearted and friendly most of the time on these forums, but there are times when I feel the need to lay down the hammer. Such is the life of a forum moderator.

"it is the policy of nintendo world report to not listen to what super says" -karma is back

Bumping for relevance - I'm getting a Galaxy Note II tomorrow.

Is the stock software sufficient for music playing, or should I be looking at alternatives? (Keep in mind I've been on BlackBerry the last five years or so.)
the stock android music player sucks... i wouldn't be holding my breath for samsungs

i still say the thrawn trilogy is a great basis for 7-9
but honestly given that disney will take any excuse they can to rerelease something the original 'han shot first' versions will likely be rereleased

7769
lies and blasphemy xD

although i doubt its the lowest point in terms of gameplay(i doubt it reached the lows of enter the dragonfly) the action figure thing just kills me after the hell the franchise has dealt with
and this is basically  a grudge dating to the moment insomniac lost the liscence, activision is the latest in a long line...
but play the first three games, i feel they were great platformers for the time(and to today its an underrated gem having been overshadowed by more iconic platformers of the era) i do suggest the third one more then the second(contentwise)

7771
does it come with a little box you put money in to have it systematically incinerated??

i am avoiding this series like the black plague because its what turned spyro the dragon(a series i grew up with and still enjoy on the ps1) into a freaking action figure.

had a nice time trolling the staff on twitter
oksoda commented on how his motto is "this body wants what this body wants" and i replied asking if he could repeat the words of Reggie Fils-aime... i think he will be interested in a new motto based on his reaction

i had a bit of a harder time in my attempt to troll John Lindemann when he commented how despite already owning them he still considered 4.99 a rip off for nes games but that he would buy them again on the eshop anyway...
i  reminded him of all the poor children starving on the street while he proudly carried a backlog of over 100  games which he replied saying he couldnt help it,

i remarked that if its a spending issue he should use the wiis gift feature to give me games i WILL play

he said it was an issue of 5 dollars is a rip off for a game he already owns...

i said he was in denial(and commented that five dollars is already a rip off for most nes games)

he said it was a spending issue in that the 5 dollars could be better spent elsewhere as he already owns the game

at that point the hypocrisy just blew my mind
Crimm, your an expert on lindemann syndrome, whats your take on this

also insanolord seems to have a complete mood swing whenever he enters the introduction forum as he comes across as kindhearted, considerate, and friendly there compared to the rest of the fourm

I highly doubt the original intent of permadeath was "then the suckers will have to restart the chapter from the beginning every time!  HA HA HA!"  The idea was that characters will die and it will be part of the experience, to add emotional weight.  You're supposed to lose characters.  But these things don't always go the way the devs want.  Gamers can be very dedicated completists and will restart things to get a perfect run.  So casual mode is really just accomodating that type of player.  If you insist on not losing anybody, then play with this mode and save yourself a lot of hassle.

Though I think permadeath is a better feature in a game of relatively short length, where you would be encouraged to play multiple times.  Fire Emblem is too long to really make the concept enjoyable to the player.

At the very least they did not get rid of it.  Options are good.  Nintendo could just as easily removed permadeath for EVERYONE.  This is the company that will force waggle and Blue Shells and tripping in SSB down our throats and they didn't do that here.

case and point.
