This forum software is literally 10 years old now. This is completely unacceptable!

I keep bringing it up and keep getting noncommittal answers, so if you really want it updated immediately I suggest you find a major bug in the software that lets you ban literally everyone all at once, as that's worked in the past.

It still works. I was 18 when we started using this 18 years ago. Or something. We had ezboards for a while, and all that got moved to this pretty seamlessly.
im wondering...what type of features will we haver i nthis new forum. It seems to load a tad slower...but it seems to have a cleaner layout. Will we have avatars or is that dead again?

Or get more than sub-3000 people to use the forums, I suspect.
Honestly, aside from Youtube embeds no longer working, the forum software itself seems perfectly fine. I suspect management isn't going to upgrade the software when the site itself only makes $346 a month in Patreon funding.

well definitely fix the youtube thing. The fact that this website has existed for such a long time is a great success. The people that run this site know what they are doing. They should use their knowledge to launch a general forum site and then expand. The same people who run this website are smart enough to make a reddit competitor.

I don't think money's a factor, it's just a matter of our webmaster taking the time to do it, and I don't know exactly how much effort that requires.

Ah, okay. Patreon was brought up above so I thought it was a money issue. I would have put some money in if it would help move things along. I spend enough time on the forums.
Who is the webmaster? Can we bully and/or shame them into upgrading the forum software? Desperate times call for something something.
