Mass Effect 3: Special Edition (Wii U) is being cleared out at FutureShop and Best Buy (Canada) for $5.
Kind of a shame to play the finale without having access to any of the other games... but it's $5.

I hear the multi is fun and it's steeply discounted in the states as well. I intend to eventually get it and the predecessors on another platform like 360 or Steam and play through them in order. You can still make the same decisions in an introductory flashback to keep your story straight.

Be wary that PC versions of ME games had controller support taken out.

I caved, I got Contra Revisited and a bunch of Wii Virtual Console games. I also been playing a lot of Rondo of Blood its a lot different than I imagined it would be.

Technically I didn't purchase it but I know one of the early Christmas gifts I have are Advanced Warfare and AC Unity.

Grabbed the demo for Sonic Boom (3DS ver - Wii U hits on 11 December) and... I don't know. The race levels are fun - one does the Sonic 2 special stage better than 2 did - but the platforming parts are long and the tendency to explore runs counter to the fact that you're expected to beat the level quickly.

Also, whoever decided this needed an 8-play limit needs a slap upside the head.

Plan to get Advanced Warfare soon purely for the zombie game mode since that is the only thing the franchise has ever really "blown me away" with. The rest is not really a selling point, but even the haters of the yearly entry **** say its good so we'll see.

Adventure Island (my wife grew up with the game) & Demon's Crest for Wii U Virtual Console.  Have played mostly Adventure Island.  It's been an experience, to say the least.  Let's just say I don't think I would have played it very long without the save state options for the virutal console.

No, much as the idea of a triple-Platinum for games you can't finish WITHOUT Platinum-ing them entices me, it's more that I don't want to play games on my PS3 anymore. I lost my Walking Dead and Wolf Among Us save data when I installed my new PS3 HDD. If I'm going to play through those games again, I'm going to do them on the system I play games on now. And my Vita doesn't have the space for these games.

Need for Speed Most Wanted U (Wii U)


Racing games aren't really my thing, but the open world aspect and the fact that there just isn't much competition in the genre on Wii U made this sound pretty appealing.  Play for bit and first impressions are good. The game has some minor issues, but it's fun enough to waste some time with.

Bayonetta 2 and Hyrule Warriors because Toys R Us came through in the clutch and had a Buy One Get One 40% off sale. I don't believe I will finish either game before Super Smash Bros. for Wii U comes out. I'll probably start with Bayonetta 1.

New Super Mario Bros 2 (3DS) - Not sure this game excites me, especially since the whole NSMB series has felt kind of like a cookie-cutter let down, but for $10 brand new from Target I'll give it a shot.


Also went on a bit of a digital buying binge recently:

And finally, one last addition: finally found a copy of Injustice: Gods Among Us (Wii U) for exactly the price I was willing to pay ($10) so happily picked that up.  Probably the last acquisition for a while because my wife was shooting me dirty looks when coming out with that last game.
