Simple.  One screen in the emulator would provide the top screen, the second providing the bottom screen, only with a half-transparent icon representing where your stylus/cursor is.  The cursor would be locked within the boundaries of the bottom screen so as not to have your cursor clicking on nothing important.

Hope this helps.

iThis Could be a way but presing six keys and moveing the mouse would be quite hard.
Yes it is good if the ds is not emulated! That means buying it is not a waste!

Heheh, emulation does have positive values you know.  It's especially useful for those trying to learn how to make games for the console in question, not just for pirating games to ruin the great companies that make them.

As for the six buttons, if you're using the stylus, than you won't be using six buttons.  You'd probably use W,S,A,D for movement, and spacebar for the "L" button, or the F key if you wish.  Your right hand would be used to move the stylus.

Yeah...I bet that's what the majority of people think emulation is for.

You could use W,S,A,D for movement  but what about the "R' button And "A" & "B" Buttons, Yes You could Get help makeing games by useing emulators but they are widely only used to pirate Games and Make bootlegs of Games.

The DS buttons, A,B,X,Y, and R would probably be the keyboard keys, J,K,I,L and ;

Yes, I understand emulators are also used for pirating, much to my dismay, but don't just rule it completely out as used for pirating.  Only 75%.

Your left hand would be used for Up,Down,Left,Right, and "L", and your right hand would be used for A,B,X,Y, and R.  Just like the real DS.

Like the real DS, if you're using the Stylus, you'll only use half of the buttons.  Either the left half, or the right half.

Yes but in some of the games you just touch with your thumb and still use all the buttons

You could have the A,B,X,Y and R buttons mapped to a four button mouse, although that would play very awkwards.  If you were serious into the emulation & development, you'd simply use a real DS plugged into your PC.

I have never been someone to support Emulation.

You can try to support it all you want by telling us that its got benefits like learning how to program for a system or whatnot.  However, the reason it is popular is because the people aren't just using it for education, they are using it to create, and spread games over the net with which people can play without paying for them.

I also used to think that if a game is hard to get or isn't ever going to be made again, why not have emulation, however Nintendo and other companies have proved this logic wrong, because they have been releasing budget priced compliation disks for us now, or including older games as hidden bonuses the gamer.  This bonuses and compliations won't be made as often if people are just playing the same games with emulation.

If you are starting up a game company, you can easily start producing games on PC first, and make some money.  If you want to move to consoles, you are going to have to put more risk into the development and buy the hardware and spend the money it costs to produce the game.  If you think that is unfair, tough that is the marketplace.  And it is actually much easier to get into than many of the other medias.
