What does 536 Kirby fans chewing gum sound like? Well, it's very annoying, but it certainly didn't stop anyone from earning Nintendo a spot on the list of Guinness World Records. The masses at Seattle's PAX Prime convention masticated at Nintendo's request, chewing pink bubble gum for at least one minute before blowing it into a bubble and keeping it as such for 30 seconds.
The successful attempt at the world record was to commemorate Kirby's 20th anniversary, and in turn Kirby's Dream Collection: Special Edition for the Wii, which is releasing on September 16, 2012.
Since his arrival in 1992, Kirby has sold over 33 million games across 22 seperate titles. No attempt has been made to craft 33 million tough cream-puffs, but there is still hope.
