first deal: $14.99 for Metroid Prime PLUS an additional 25% off right now at Blockbuster
$24.99 for Starfox Adventures PLUS an additional 25% off right now at Blockbuster

2nd deal: Gamestop... if you get the magazine Game Informer there are coupons for 1. an additional 10% bonus to games you sell to them

and 2. an additional 10% off used games (that's in addition to the 10% you get with a Gamestop card!)

NOTE: you must have a Gamestop card to use the coupons....

I picked up Ikaruga today from Gamestop for a mere $30.05, that was after I found it used for $34.99 and the 10% off coupon and the 10% off Gamestop card

EDIT: Gamestop also had Wipeout Fusion NEW for $9.99 and Haven: Call of the King NEW (a sleeper hit) for $9.99!

Block Buster is also selling RE0 new for $20.

EB has a similar % as gamespot except it's with GMR ($10 for $10 issues+you get the %10 off used games).

Metroid Prime should cost more than SFA. . . it's much better. . . (SFA is good, but not as good as MP)

True, but Blockbuster adjusts its prices based on different parameters.

for one, you can find the same game at Blockbuster with two different prices
why?  well because they adjust their prices based on the condition of the game...
so most likely that copy of Metroid Prime I saw, probably has some scratches on the disc
Most likely nothing that will stop the game from working, but you probably will either
have money taken off if you tried to sell it to say Gamespot or they might not buy it back
at all...
another thing they base their prices on at blockbuster is the amount of games in stock
and how long it's been since a game has not sold

Actually Block Buster is selling Brand new factory sealed Metroid Prime for $20 as well.

Mech Assault for the Xbox is $20, and Ratchet and Clank for the PS2 for $20.

So $15 for a used game would sound right :0.

I picked up the Harry Potter GC game yesterday brand new for $9.99 off Walmart.com. I'm not a HP fan (haven't even seen the movies) but it has reviewed favorably. IGN gave it an 8.9.

what's GMR?

GMR is pretty much the EB-equivalent of GameStop's Game Informer.  $10 for 10 month subscription and 10 months of 10% off preowned stuff.  The magazine is produced by Ziff-Davis, the people who make EGM and CGW (see a trend in acronyms?).  Actually, though popular belief states that it's pronounced "gamer," the E3insider site says its actually stupidly pronounced "jee-em-arr."  Lame.  Anyway, as for actual magazine content, I'd give my nod to GI, especially for the toys and stuff the have at the end of the magazine.

Super Monkey Ball 2 can be had for $29.99 brand-new at Gamestop.  I'm waiting until it hits the $19.99 bin and then I'm snatching it up.

I'm still looking for Ikaruga cheap...I'm trying to get it for $30 or less on eBay but it's a battle.  Somebody always has to raise the price over $30.  It's OK, I'm in no hurry.

These days, the way games drop in price, I refuse to pay $49.99 for any game unless I absolutely have to have it.  I'm still amazed that I bought Eternal Darkness for $19.99 at Gamestop...that's a farce.  I'd pay $99.99 for that game.

Alright, I wouldn't, but it sounded good.

nod nod. sometimes it really pisses me off.
where I live (Trinidad), I have to pay $75-110 US equivalent for my games, regardless if they are old or not.

Example, I had to pay $98.00 US equivalent for windwaker.
(I don't have a cc which I can use to take advantage of net deals - i'm only 21)

This is the only reason that sometimes I regret not getting an xbox and modifying it, games are just too expensive here.

Hello all:

Two decent deals I saw recently (if you think the games are decent that is):

1. Target has Crash Wrath of Cortex for $13. I saw it in the front where they usually have bargain DVDs by the front registers. They asl had a PS2 and two Xbox titles as well at that price. Most of the titles struck me as sucky, but for $13 . . .

2. EB Games has TimeSplitters 2 for $19.99.

Enjoy!

The IGN store is having Eternal Darkness for $15 along with its campaign =P

Target is the only store to sell Sonic Pinball Party, yeah, this should be in the GBA discussion, but so what? They sometimes have it for $27 if your lucky.

Both Resident Evil 0 and 1 are on sale for $30 at Target.

oh yeah, those are good deals, but i was at best buy the other day picking up wario ware and i passed a stand of strategy guides. Half of them were selling far a penny! No catches, you didnt have to sign up for anything, they were juts being getten rid of. The only guide i can remember was Eternal Darkness. But there was alot of other good guides too. But some jerk before me (i would've done it too...) took every last one of the guides for only pennies, the clerk told me.

I picked up metroid prime at blockbuster for 20 too like you guys, i almost payed 50$ for it at K-Mart.
Currently playing: Mario 64 DS and Resident Evil 4

Yeah,

Best Buy gets rid of it's guides after only a few months (usually 3) except for a few (ones that are still selling :0 ).

I've seen guides like LoTR TTT, Spiderman, ect (mostly all action) go for a Penny apeice.

Best Buy sucks now when it comes to Cube games, either they're trying to screw themselves or Timmy at price regulations is too depressed with his failed date to eliminate the competition.

Super Monkey Ball Jr. for the GBA is for $20 at Target.

more deals I saw today:
(at Gamestop retail store)
use your Gamestop card for these titles and get 10% off

Metal Gear Solid 2 $12.99 used
Ico $14.99 used
Neverwinter Nights $29.99 new, also that price at bestbuy too
Onimusha $9.99 used

and finally for GAMECUBE
I picked this up today:
Need For Speed Hot Pursuit 2 $24.99 used * 10% off * 6% sales tax = $23.84

I know NFSHP2 is better on PS2 than it's GC and Xbox versions due to it having no slow down in that version, but because I am committed to Nintendo I purchased the GC version
