Kirby Re-Returns To Dream Land In Deluxe Edition February 24
« on: September 13, 2022, 07:01:00 AM »

You might've missed this one the first time since it was a 2011 Wii game.

Kirby's 30th anniversary is going to get at least one more game out the door.

A "Deluxe" edition of 2011 Wii action game Kirby's Return to Dream Land has been announced for release on February 24. The four player action game - which includes the ability to play as four Kirby - will also include new minigames in addition to the existing titles in the Wii version.

I’m surprised this is getting a remake before The Crystal Shards. Perhaps Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack made that less of a priority.

It's probably because Star Allies sold so well and this is the only other Kirby game that has 4-player multiplayer like that game, so they probably figured it's be the best game to appeal to the current 2D Kirby audience on Switch.

I'm excited since Return to Dreamland is still my favorite traditional 2D Kirby, so having it in HD with new content will be great.

Makes sense. I’ll take it either way. I kept kicking the can down the road on Return to Dreamland until I just didn’t buy it. I’ve been meaning to actually finish The Crystal Shard  and personally, it could use a remake more.

I could have sworn it was already possible for all players to use Kirby in this game... or are they simply highlighting this feature since it wasn't possible in Star Allies?

Same here. I recently replayed the main campaign and it holds up really well. If there is a retail release I will get it on sale.  For folks that have not played it, there is a lot of game there. The main campaign is a decent length and then there is a lot of post game content as well the mini-games that were mentioned in the trailer.

How does Dedede's design keep getting worse with every game?
